Without question.
i prefer this
My guy
I don't know why, I don't see the appeal with this and Brand New in general. I remember listening to TGADARIM and being really disappointed.
...
obviously
>2017
>he still listens to music with vocals
I'm gonna get a lot of shit but I don't care. Brockhampton is kino
I was waiting for the fantano review (he helps me get interested in something) but now I don't want to
Should I still or nah?
*gets in your way*
*ends thread*
yes
great album and their best as well. I loved the noise rock parts, made the album havier and I appreciate this kind of stuff.
My take on him is it's like uncool music but with kind of cool production value added to make it sound more current.
I remember random shitty little local bands doing vaguely jazzy reggae-punk-funk shit like this back in the 90s.
i guess people like different things

...
very good album, definitely up there this year
Pretty much, along with picrelated
...
i agree with you
>I LOVE PORTUGAL
...

i like this
Went to school with this guy
Wondered how he got so big being the tritest thing I've heard in indie music then remembered his father owned a law firm.
nuclear fusion song of the year
I know its bandcamp shit but I love the melodies and the ambient sounds
Xoxo
epic burn my dude
definitely tyler's best work
would probably have more impact if it came out when he was still at his most relevant
same
...
His brother is also a child molester apparently
...
His first album is better though
When he was relevent it would hurt his chances even more with it trying to be AOTY
Nothing of value has been posted itt
You guys might be onto something.
this year has had so many high profile releases so far, yet most of them have been quite disappointing in my opinion. This on the other hand, is a gem.
Good choice. Also way cooler without the text
Does this sound how the cover looks?
Absolutely
This one for me
This or Father John Misty
I can't stand his voice. if it was even just slightly less heavy and yodel-y I'd dig the fuck out of his music.
What is the appeal of this album, aside from it being very trendy?
This thread is extremely predictable thus far
Eargasm.
he's an oddball genius with songwriting chops akin to Elliott Smith.
DSU may be my most played release this decade... and "Powerful Man" is a contender for SOTY.
Just because you didn't like the kid growing up doesn't mean he's not a genuine talent.
i love this album and emergency blimp live is beautiful
Pile - A Hairshirt of Purpose
alex g is nowhere near elliott smith
Still have a huge backlog. Might delete lil b because it wasn't that good looking back.
correct

Forgot this existed
Most of us have.
biggest surprise for me this year. It's so fucking good. the new broken social scene is also really good.
This is why we hate Alex G. You fags can't talk about him without throwing in "genius", PLEASE FUCKING ENLIGHTEN US. What album of his is even remotely close to 'genius'? Trick, rules, DSU, beach music? Or is it none of those because he's actually just an okay at best musician and songwriter?
...
Is it just me or has 2017 been remarkably shit in terms of good music coming out?
I made one of them collages you fellows like so much
remove kasabian and we are good
It's been one of the slowest years of the decade for sure. Almost as slow as 2014
Not even close.
it's been a decent year overall, just less outstanding highlights
Even 2016 looks good compared and that was already a shitty year. Maybe Björk can save us.
I don't understand the hype around this album, it wasn't anything innovative or even exciting, and his accent is at times unbearable.
I mean, the cover's a piece of shit yes but I thought the album's really good. It has some energy.
literally none of this is good tho
lol no
I disagree :)
lol no
>tfw ywn get the tacos, spark the blunt and start the Narcos off at episode with SZA
Someone rec me somegood guitar-based stuff from this year
Idk what you mean by guitar-based, but this album is some good pop-rock.
it's that his debut album was amazing and people expect this to be even better. it almost is, but just almost
Is it too early to consider this?
BUTCH
really wanted to like this but it’s just way too indulgent for me. it sounds exactly like the cover art though.
Pleasure is so fucking good
Why would you get a lot of shit? They're great.
i wish i was kidding
pic related has been my favorite.
this is up there too. really fantastic
diamonds they wet on my arm
tats on my neck on my arm

I COULD HAVE BEEN ANYONE FROM ANYWHERE
a normie friend of mine said they listened to this album today
does this album have normie appeal? will archy be the next mac demarco and go mainstream?
I kind of liked this album, but it felt like it was missing something or that it just couldn't keep my attention all the way through.
Saturation II was better imo but both are aoty contenders.
