I'd urge you to further explore the repertoire, the whole creative range of the jazz architect Bill Evans. Some albums of interest include Everybody Digs Bill Evans (1958), Bill Evans' & Jim Hall's Undercurrent, and the subsequent Intermodulation, Explorations, Bill Evans at The Montreux Jazz Festival, and Bill Evans' and Herbie Mann's Nirvana (1961) As a rule of thumb, focus on the LaFaro-Motian trio, and mix in later works with the Morell-Gomez and Johnson-LaBarbera trios. Also note, any artist who worked as a sideman with Evans is worth listening to.
