Wanna know how to make percussion fade away that naturally.

Also I can't stop listening to this song. Love the pitch-bending before the chorus:
youtube.com

I discovered this recently and it's been on repeat for a while
i just found this and i'm fucking with it hard
just bought tickets to see Slowdive on Sunday
since i was being lazy about it and didn't do it ahead of time like I should have, all the general floor tickets got bought and I had to get tickets for sitting in the back

how much do you want to see them
obviously all the slowdive superfans would spend all their money to see them but if youre not completely sure youll be moved to tears by their performance maybe it won't be worth it
Great discovery. Really enjoying this too.
Not bad!

What are the basic, essential pedals for making shoegaze?
>no meme answers like ''all of them''
tremolo
Sounds neat, gonna dig into them today.
thanks
>tfw no qt shoegaze bf

I listened to this yesterday in full for the first time since it came out, basically
and it's actually better than i remember
I prefer the other stuff for sure but this is good
Is there a 2000s essential chart?
Some user posted a link to a youtube video with random pink noise alongside Loveless yesterday. It worked surprisingly well with tracks like To Here Knows When,
and made them sound fresh again. I wonder if our brains filter out random noise from songs during repeated listens, cause Loveless generally doesn't sound that noisy to me
anymore (at least on headphones)
I'm new to shoegaze, I've listened to:
Ride - Nowhere
MBV - Loveless
Slowdive - Souvlaki and Just for a day
Very entry level stuff but where do I go from here? I liked the sound of Slowdive the most, then Ride and then MBV (probably because I'm too plebby for it yet).
I was about to get all uppity but then I looked closer.
Good chart.
Airiel - Winks & Kisses EP set
Sway - Millia Pink and Green
Alison's Halo - Eyedazzler
Lush - Spooky
Not shoegaze but you should listen anyway:
Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
From the Ride side:
Chapterhouse - Whirlpool
Revolver - Baby's Angry
Wh do you post this? Is this ironic? Anyways if you are real, and not a man, I hope you’re from Texas.
Malory's music has a dreamy feeling similar to Slowdive.
recommend me 2017 stuff
Seconding Cocteau Twins rec.
Start with Heaven Or Las Vegas, and then work your way backwards in their discography. Be sure to give Loveless another listen after a while. Once it clicks for you, you're in for a real treat.
Curve - Doppelganger
listening to this album rn and it's spectacular my ningbas
post beautiful guitar tones

Im desperate for some noisy shoegaze (noise pop whatever) with male vocals. Idk why but I really am craving the sound and cant seem to find much other than Jesus and the mary chain and other bands that just sound like jesus and the mary chain. help me bruddas
Try Radio Dept's Lesser Matters
is Radio Dept even that noisy?
youtube.com
i have to agree with , radio dept is not that noisy
I think its intresting that in general I find trouble finding male vocals in shoegaze besides the 90s americana stuff (or bands like swerve driver)
Tangible Rays lit af
One of the best shugazi albums of 2017 imo
Cosmicdust might work for you
youtube.com
the sound you are probably thinking of is as easy as reverse reverb > fuzz > amp + vibratobar
however you can literally use any pedals to achieve your own sound, because there obviously isnt that one shoegaze sound. sry for meme answer
try japgaze
You DID listen to A Place to Bury Strangers and Skywave, didn't you?
>similar to Slowdive.
no kidding, half the time I listen to them I forget that they arent actually slowdive
Try Amusement Parks on Fire.
Personally has some of my favorite vocals
pasteboard - Glitter
of course but i may just listen to them again so i can remember how great they are :^)
this is cash
thx frendos
post discord invite
beat me to it lol
More experimental gaze?
absolutely love this image
If there is such a thing as noise pop and dream pop and then there is noise rock then is there anything like "dream rock"
Also noise rock recs please
I haven't really listened to either artist myself but I think this might be what you're looking for

Why does one of the best shoegaze albums from the 2010s have such a lame album cover
probably worth it anyway, since it might be your last chance to see them ever play a live set
Went to see them earlier this, show was amazing
I'm partial to A Sunny Day in Glasgow, or Airiel. Have the chart, it offers a pretty good starting point and a way to figure out what specific sort of sound you like
Check out some japanese stuff, cant go wrong with Kinoko Teikoku (tho their newer stuff isnt as good I still like it desu), start with Long Goodbye
I know I'm like the millionth person to ask this but I need bands similar to Sweet Trip and The Depreciation Guild. Especially The Depreciation Guild. Help
Good album, but damn, some of those songs are near covers of MBV.
Does /shugazi/ know any good metal bands that take inspiration from shoegaze/dream pop? Besides blackgaze which is everywhere these days. These two in particular have been among my favorites for years:
youtube.com
youtube.com
Both bands were heavily influenced by Slowdive. How evident it may be on their sound is debatable, though they are definitely more emotive than they are harsh.
If this doesn't belong here I'll delete it, but I'm certain /metal/ would be less open about this question.
Anyone else listen to Sounds Like Sunset?
youtube.com
>shoegaze
Nice non-existent music genre
back to bleep with you
Just because
SPC ECO - Fallen Stars
youtu.be
We should just make an electro gaze chart honestly.
back to our system thinks your post is spam with you
:(
too bad that discord is such a pile of shit
Can someone post that Japanese Shoegaze chart that someone make a while ago. I want to make an addenum to that for more unknown Japanese shoegaze bands, I've been on a Japgaze binge recently.
my favorite kpop group made a shoegaze song recently
youtube.com
never heard any shoegaze before this but I like it quite a lot
do you guys make any 'gaze
I feel like it would be fun just to make nice guitar tones
This would be great and I'd be so appreciative of whoever made it
:(
:)

Good stuff right here. Found on SLSK too
Recently just discover a great album: youtube.com
