Why do mutts call it a odometer and not a odoyard

wtf are you? aussie?

You can get an older Volvo pretty cheap and they are pretty much unkillable. I sold my 91 850 with almost 365k miles. I wouldn't advise anything newer than 99 though. I had an 01 V70 for a short time and it was in the shop non stop. I'd say if you can find a 98 or 99 V70 or a 96-97 850 with under 200k miles, you'd be solid and have a little spending money left over. I'm partial to wagons, clearly, but the same stands true for any of the older volvo models.

Nice quads.

What are you looking for? Small German cars are a good all rounder and will stand the test of time.

A 1 series with less than 60-70k miles on the clock with a nice petrol will be excellent.

Similar for an A3, although you might aswell just get a golf.

Subie. Forester.

Quads wasted. Why would you buy a shitty car that will last you a year when you could build a gaming pc that will run games at 360 FPS?

second this guy
forester is a very good car
I would like it to have more than a 2.0L but... its nice

>2.0
Mine's a 2008, 2.5liter. Not gonna tow much, but plenty for getting around town. And you can't beat Subie AWD for winter.

Source: live in Minnesota, just south of Canuckistan. Plows are like unicorns.

Aren't they mostly manual transmission? I can only drive auto.

Nope. Mine's an auto. Really solid car.

Mileage means fuck all when buying second hand. Question yourself this, am i buying this car because something is wrong with it and it costs more to fix than it does to repair or has the previous owner owned it so long that then just want a new ride?
Usually its obvious when a car has 80,000 a few bumps, scratches chipped alloys ect that the prior is true.
If it has 250,000 and yes a few bruises maybe a worn out interior but fresh oil and mechanically sound. Then the later would apply.
Pic unrelated

you'll want to get a manual if you get subi. Their automatics are garbage.

Learn to drive stick like the rest of the world you fucking american. Its easy

I live in a big city so shifting all the time would be annoying. I like to drive with a coffee in one hand anyway.

...

Hahaha "shit Americans say" indeed. But seriously, I live in a city (Glasgow to be exact) and its nothing, My dad has an auto and I actually feel less safe driving that than I do my manual. Once you get it there is no going back. You wont want to.

Mate thats bollocks I live out west but took my manual through London last weekend. It was utter shite, and I would defo grab a manual if I lived anywhere near that kind of traffic.

Sure manuals are fun. I'll always buy a manual unless my commute is stopstart.

>one hand on the steering wheel
>American intelligence

50kmh is the speed limit. So highly unlikely to get in a big wreck.

Mk4 VW Gti

I see alot of old volvos and golfs on the road. They should be reliable brands.

ignorance is dangerous

so 100kmh head on collision.

yeh totally safe bro.

Never be as retarded as americans.

Get a civic with 200k on the odo. Will cost under $2k and last for a long ass time.

Since you are in Canada I have to agree with this. I see plenty of late 90s forester & outbacks all the time on I95. Good cars for snow & I never met a person who hated theirs.

I bought a canadian honda civic si (ex in the usa) for $1800. All it needed was a timing belt and full brake service. 172000km on the odometer and its a 2 door, 5 speed manual. Slow as fuck but fun to drive. I would advise you get something from honda or acura like a civic, integra, rsx etc. But it really all depends on what you need the car to do.

op is a faggot confirmed
im american and hate autos
learn to drive like a fucking man

Fuck off back to your caliphate in london. Canadians and Americans prefer auto. Deal with it.

The only thing you are going to get in the US for $5000 or less is a money put, unless you a one owner vehicle with over 100k miles on it that has no value for trade in that the owner has replaced. The used high mileage vehicle market is complete udder shit because most drive their vehicles with that kind of value til they are ready to be junked or as you foreign retarts say recycled.

>n the US
>$5000 Canadian dollars

Rural ausfag here. Never heard it called that in my life.

>rural Ausfailia
Where in Aus are you rurally located?

Another ausfag here, shitty island edition.

Never heard that at all. It’s an odometer.

Find a Camry like this one, can’t go wrong. Sold my spare one a few nights ago for $500AUD with 257thou on the odo

Some old Mercedes engines will run until they fucking rust away. A friend of mine had one with over 540k miles still working fine.

Ive seen 70's models still running.
