On the small one the cleaning is very easy, I just pop her over the sink wash out with fingers a bit, then again with fingers + antibacterial soap and again with water, then I'll dry her out good with either small sponges or an aquarium pump for blowing air in there.
Removable is a lot better for cleaning but looks worse.
