I wish modern country didn't sound like pop.
I wish modern country didn't constantly feature pampered millionaires bitching about their love lives and expecting me to identify with them.
I wish modern country didn't constantly spout off dozens of 'country' stereotypes in every song in an attempt to prove how 'country' it is.
I wish modern country didn't feature fill-in-the-blank references to the listener's favorite unhealthy product, or even worse, feature ad placement.
But what I wish the most is that modern country didn't make you feel dumber for having listened to it, and I believe a few tracks from the New Vegas soundtrack would fit that bill just fine.
I'm pretty sure that's literally on the soundtrack
Exactly, but the rest of Robbins' stuff fits the bill
It's on both radio channels, you literally can't play 20 minutes without hearing it.
>tfw one of the most lowkey tracks is actually the best one

Correct but wrong

They should've had some Johnny Cash on the radio in this game
this song is a banger. really the the entirety of radio new vegas is perfect and comfy, even the nice little instrumentals. it's very nostalgic for me
this is the best song in the game next to Blue Moon

WHEN THAT IRRESISTIBLE FORCE SUCH AS YOU
MEETS THAT OLD IMMOVABLE OBJECT LIKE ME
It's just too fucking short, love the songs but it seems like there are only 4 songs playing at all times.
Pic related adds a bunch of fitting songs to the game
Also conelrad mod just adds the best songs from the Atomic Platter box set, which I highly recommend.
Is there a game with a better soundtrack?
deus ex
That's an OST/score not a soundtrack
though yes, a great OST
FUCKING BIG IRON IS THE GREATEST SONG EVER
>Here's B-b-b-b-BING CRosby reminding us of those times, when you absolutely have to kiss the person you love. Something's Gotta Give. Up next.
Country music does sound like that. This shit they call country today doesn't.
Country is one of the biggest pleb filters there is. People think it's all pop-country and don't understand theres a ton of good stuff if you bother to go barely past the surface.
Take this very entry level song for example:
Modern country makes me wants to seriously harm myself, especially because I'm subjugated to it constantly. I work in a hardware store and the store is situated in such a way where the only station we get is a shitty country station which no joke plays less than 12 songs.
I know for a fact that I've herd Body Like a Back Road at least 3 times within one hour. Makes me want to fucking die.
Fuck this just got me nostalgic. GOAT Fallout(besides 2)
I feel ya, I work at a liquor store and my boss plays the country pandora station and it plays the same 20 songs day in and day out.
heartaches by the number is best track btw
truth
It had like, what, three fucking songs?
Wouldn't you guys describe FNV's music as more western than country?
comfiest song btw

picking a favorite song from this game is like picking a favorite child, but i must go with these two
This makes me want to do a playthrough as Absolute Madman.
Pop country has been shit since the 50's for the record, country may as well be two genres because there's always been two completely different sentiments behind it
White people blues or American South Christian-approved garbage pop
The white people blues stuff is fantastic but the rarer form

this looks like a comment you would find on a youtube video of a taylor swift song
