Slid pretty hard...
GG JIDF
Nice
Bump.
>recent events
Why bother changing the parentheses? It's not like jews putting parentheses around their names voluntarily defeats the purpose of the coincidence detector.
Also, is there a version for firefox? Fuck chrome.
>{{{}}}
Please don't. ((())) made me think of CLisp and the Jews behind it:
How do you install this?
NIDF is trying really hard now.
This is a hilarious program but if you need a detector to sniff out a Jewish name you could use the practice
If you want to edit the code to return the normal brackets, you can replace the top paragraph of "myscript.js" with:
function echo(s, factor) {
var left = "";
var right = "";
for (var i = 0; i < factor; i++) {
left += "(";
right += ")";
}
return left + s + right;
}
>notice how +left and +right are "(" not "{"
The image has been edited with the curly brackets, but you can edit the jpg yourself if you want to change the curly brackets on the icon itself (or replace it with the original which I have attached).
This is nice.
I'm amused to see forks of my code.
I, too, know jack crap about computers. How do you install this guY?
Extract it then follow this:
stackoverflow.com
It's an updated/modified version of the original.
Original found here:
archive.4plebs.org
There's a link to instructions here.
You goys are the best goys! Much appreciated!
Here's a full 'log of changes' [change and log as a word is filtered?] and a few ways to 'customise' your version if anyone's interested:
>Extended list
>List no longer URL based (this can be re-enabled by editing the Javascript, stated at the top of background.js).
>Loading image replaced with spinning 'special star'
>Image edited with curly brackets, V2 at the bottom right and a 'suspicious figure' in the background
>Version number changed to 2 from 14.88
>Parenthesis 'echos' use {{{}}} instead of ((())) - to distinguish between real coincidences, and those that people choose to fake to screw with the detector - see if you want to return to normal, or download the original
>HTML page has been edited with {{{}}}
>Readme,md has also been modified with V2
There's not much difference to the original, just an extended list, no longer linked to a github URL (which does mean however that it cannot be updated).

If you want the old brackets and can't follow , then you can download the original at .
Copy 'myscript.js' from the old one, to the new one (V2) to return brackets to normal but still use the new version edits.
To use just the updated list of the new one (which contains every name from here: wikipedia - Category:Jewish_surnames) then simple copy "background.js" from the new one, to the old one to 'update' the original list, but keep the original format (icons, version number, etc).
Not working, senpai.
I'm disappointed by this extension.
Shit is slow to load, and blocks every page I load while it's traversing the DOM.
Also, why not make the code as generic as possible so that it doesn't references jews at all.
Then the users could just manually add sources, and no one can say anything.
o shit m8
I should probably have tested this before uploading it.
God damn, give me a few minutes here to see what I buggered up
Because I suck at javascript
To be honest the loading times might be an issue, the list is extremely long.
The original can be found: archive.4plebs.org
>it's probably made a lot slicker than my edits to be honest
Version one works for me, but only has a fraction of the Jewish names from the list.
do you mind explaining what the fuck is happening in this thread?
I fucked up the code big time.
Editing the original with a longer list and image updates, but managed to break the code.
Just get this version: a.pomf.cat
The original works fine but has a smaller list.
I'll come back later on when I fix my shit up. (I only wrote the broken edits, not the original).
I need you to start from the beginning. I feel like you're talking to me as if I hadn't been on Sup Forums for three years.
Lurk more
There's been a lot of 'coincidences' going on, and somewhat recently a way of detecting such 'coincidences' was created.
Regular anomalies in the space time continuum.
I feel insulted. I doubt you can lurk moar than I do, unless you're a neet.
what is a coincidence to you? da joos?
You catch on quick friend...
> tfw I tried to be nice by not saying "lurk moar faggot"
I didn't really feel insulted, burgerbro, that was just a way of talking.
You're doing God's work, user
I think it's because I tried to put unicode text into javascript.
I thought it could handle that?
I know batch can.
>check catalog
>like 15 shitposting threads up and some kike spamming porn
Whats being slid?
why not just use a different font or color for the parentheses so that you can't fake it? changing it to brackets loses meme power
just escape it like "\u0043"
Ah that's right, I'm too used to batch - my javascript is a little lacking.
Javascript can't handle unicode, my bad.
I'll fix it up.
>mfw I have to now search through more than 1200 entries of names to find unicode characters
well fuck
what the fuck am i even looking at here, what is it supposed to do?
It's supposed to highlight 'coincidences'
Unfortunately I used unicode characters in the javascript because I'm mentally retarded it seems, and broke the code.
The original works fine:
a.pomf.cat
The (((BLACKED))) porn threads just got deleted
Finally edited out all that unicode and replaced the characters.
Let me just test this, and if it works I'll reupload V2 (but this time actually have it functioning).
Alright, I've fixed the code, and the list is extended.
I'll reupload in a few minutes with the fixed version.
There are currently 1,417 entries in the new list.
>pic related is an example of what this means
Upload imminent.
FIXED.
I repaired the unicode bug, and returned parenthesis back to normal.
mediafire.com
Firefox when?
I'll just have a look at that.
If it's similar enough I'll just convert it.
ty britfriend :)
Nice
I'm having a problem. Whenever I drag and drop it in the extensions, it works normally. However, when I try to click on enable in incognito mode, it stops working. If I try to click on enable again, it doesn't even work in normal Chrome. It deactivates itself every time I close the extensions tab.
Windows users need to do a few extra things:
stackoverflow.com
It doesn't seem to happen for me, so I'm unsure how to debug it.
Its working for me
Thank you. I finally got it to work.
Don't worry. I just had to do what said. What do disable case sensitivity and echo factor?
I've got to do some work, I've been messing about with this all day.
But here's the final version:
mediafire.com
>pic related - I extended the list - this could cause lag on slow machines
The list is pretty long and has names like first, last, test and top in it (those are just the ones I've seen)
Of course, problem is with these names, is that they're also words, hence you'll see random shit highlighted sometimes as well.
Why are the months of the year, countries, and cities also highlighted?
Now it works, thank you user.
Everything on these lists is highlighted:
en.wikipedia.org
genealogy.familyeducation.com
Only problem is, random words also seem to be Jewish.
Try these out for size:
Said
Top
Last
Test
First

New
and my personal favorite detection: Sup Forums
These came from: genealogy.familyeducation.com
If you want a less touchy one use this:
mediafire.com
If you want something that will detect anything with even a hint of Hebrew then this thing is for you:
mediafire.com
>Extended list may give false positives on stupid words
>The version pre-extended list will not do this, but is missing about 5000 entries.
What does echo factor do?
o damn, it triggered it anyway
3 = (((detected)))
2 = ((detected))
1 = (detected)
0 = detected
There you go.
Can you fix the random words it detects?
Thank you.
Yes.
If ever you find a word that it detects that it shouldn't do this.
>Find the directory of the Coincidence Detector V2
>Within this folder there should be the core files for the extension
>Find "background.js" [back this up if you're worried] and open it. (personally I use wordpad [not notepad])
>Hold 'ctrl' and press 'F' - this is the find function
>Now type in the word it is detecting that it shouldn't be and click 'find'
>remove it's line, e.g: "word",
>everything on that single line should be removed now, and that line no longer exists
>save over your 'background.js'
>disable then re-enable the extension, or refresh the list
This means, in the future, when I'm not around, people can fix their lists.
Over time, it should get more and more refined with every edit you do, until only 'suspicious' names are detected.
Nice, but I don't use chrome. Couldn't you take the old greasemonkey script and just change the website name source in it so expand the list?
I've got the full list here if you're interested:
pastebin.com
To be honest, my javascript skills are pretty poor, and I don't have any experience in writing browser extensions.
The only languages I know are batch, LUA, and a little bit of C.
I'm usually just a guy who edits pictures around this place.
I meant to respond to with
Wow I messed up again.
Impressive.
Let's try this:
see I can't believe I messed up posting twice in a row.
