not a whole lot of mastering done. reverb added and vocal and guitar parts made louder. really fast recording but releasing more soon. only 1 track.

I maed a cool thing let me know if you have any suggestions or anything tyty~
Not my genre, but production is solid in general and gotta hand it to you. Fun bubbly synths, interesting reverse effects and stuff at the breaks and generally good structure and transitions.
Maybe my biggest grip is in the master of it. Try cranking it up a bit and you'll notice the presence area 1-5kHz roughly starts to be a bit crisp and painful. I'd go through with an eq for soft belling away, then a multiband comp / dynamic eq for the harshest transients so you can retain clarity and brightness without making it too harsh in the upper mids!
Uhh I don't know if it's part of whatever this bedroom aesthetic is but the rhodes / keys are way to loud for me. Can't hear the lyrics for shit and the sidechain you have going on there is really distracting and heavy. If you're going for that aesthetic I'd take some elements and leave them unsidechained so that you don't get the seasick pumping too much, an interesting thought if your digging into this is to send guitar / vocals into a big reverb and then leave that unsidechained so that the keys duck out only the dry portion of the vocals for example, and shift the ratio between dry/wet instead of just total volume.
Fun disorienting intro! Definitely enjoyed the vibe and texture of this release. I'm into noisy stuff in general, but more in the sort of heavy overdrive / feedbacky drone type of way usually. I didn't listen in too far but got the first couple ones all the way through and dabbled in the others. There's a lot of fun things and certain tones and ideas like the machinegunny noisebursts and hissing distortions, but I didn't really feel anything was interesting enough to hold on to for a full track. Work with either varying the tones, or adding in contrasting elements that surprise the listener and keep their focus and interest up.

Omg tyty I was literally looking up advice on how to reduce harshness. Screenshotting this~

Listened to "Dreams"
Really fun use of delays with long values and then killing them off real quick. In general the contrasting of lush and long-decaying tones erratically jumping into staccato choppy things is really pleasing. And your choice of tones and textures feels really nice to my ears, nice and warm analog-y type bubbles and saws going on. Some of the later percussion was a tad crisp but eh I'm grasping here for something negative to say on the mix. I always reconsider and grab a shelf on the really high frequencies from like 8-10kHz and just double check if its bright enough, usually it isn't. Maybe one thing you could improve is the stereo imaging? Shelf up the hi-mids and highs in the sides and you'll get an organic spread and lift up reverbs and delays without muddying up the solid mono synth action in the Mid channel. Great stuff!
Nice drums, maybe a tad metallic in the up mids for my ear, but could also be this ʳ ᵃ ʷ ˢ ᵃ ᵘ ᶜ ᵉ sound you want. Brighten up the very highest highs in the vocals like +10kHz I think, and consider a multiband sidechain in the vocal presence range on the drums as I feel alot of the hihat snare are competing with your vocal quality range.
You've got a nice voice for rapping, steady flow and clear enunciation and personal character. Maybe a small touch of Aesop Rock vocal quality to my ear.
Nice vocal sample in the sides, fits perfect. The choppy break stuff works really well around your lyrical content.
Fun synthy world you have here! Lot of reverb going on which is nice if the returns are cleaned up so they don't overshadow the dry signals aesthetic.
I feel almost all of your instrumentation and vocals are sitting around a very similar frequency range which makes the mix seem a bit crowded yet narrow. Stereo space and frequency range should be utilized to find your elements a distinct home in the mix.

Chose noise/house
I like the minimal build from the choppy lush synth. The groove builds really organically around the first track and with the stuttery kickdrum stuff and house-y hihats coming in it really gets you moving and is minimal without being boring. Fun vocal samples later in. Pay attention the the mids as some stuff is overlapping and causing a lil distortion that sound inadvertent.
Later tracks are a bit more noisy and I like that, was going in expecting full on harshness but you keep it at a tasty border and it grows organically among the three tracks. Cool cover art.

Really inspired by akira yamaoka, angelo badalamenti, shit like that. Anyway. Thanks to any listeners.
Ayyo this is hype as shit, really good work, rec

This is cool stuff, already liking and following. Listening to Children of The Sun right now and digging it.
Not much to say just some really good unique stuff. Love the use of samples

This is cool, I really like that you're trying to do something a little different rather than rapping in triplets about money and hoes
I mean, that's cool too, but do your own thing. Digging it, it's like slowcore rap.
Super sick melange of distorted noises. What more could you ask for. I think maybe the sounds presented from the start could be developed a little more as the song goes on. Otherwise, very cool.

I like this. It's got that STUTTAH that makes me wett. Cool beens.
I feel like I've regained a piece of my innocence.
I probably should try to zhuzh it up a bit. Keep things fresssshhhhh.
You got some real interesting sounds going on yerself. Not my typical fare admittedly, but I liked it anyway.
Thx frend. I feel like I'm in the old west watching the sunset when I listen to this track. And when the reversed stuff came in, it caught me off guard, but it was cool.
This is like drugs or whatever. I like it in a large way.

It was really interesting for sure, I don't listen to electronic AT ALL, and yet I kept listening just waiting for the next strange quirk.
a demo im sending out to labels right now
What's with all this electronic music though?
Gud thred m8.
thanks a lot for the detailed response, I really appreciate that. I'll make sure to analyse the mids more in future mixes, cheers.
What do you expect?
It's cheap, you don't even need any instruments now to make it. If you feel like shelling out 50 bucks then you can get a cheap MIDI and shit out a 100 electronic songs a day. I like a lot of electronic music but this ease of access to kindergarten tier DAW's and Samplers is killing my enthusiasm to browse these threads. Not saying rockists are free from this, but I'd rather listen to someone wank on a guitar then think they can put together any sort of beat worth a squirt of piss
Hi this is one of the electronic artists. I also make pop punk. The answer is, it's fun to make, and it doesn't require a whole lot of space.
glad to have finally released my Fifty Six LP...
