Can someone help me debunk this image?

Can someone help me debunk this image?

Also, what's with the implication that unreported rapist are white?
Could this be the work of nasally enhanced gentlemen?

How do we know a rape happened if it's not reported? As soon as we know it happened it's reported. Numbers in the image are completely made up.

Fucking WaPo out of all places debunked the shit out of this, read here

If the stats come from the FBI crime report remember that report doesn't separate latino from whites but when you do look at local crime stats that do like the NYPD stats for example you will notice their crime rates are as high as blacks and rape is higher. So they are making us look bad.

"Those numbers are for rapes reported to the police"
Trust me that was my first argument

If it's not reported it didn't happen.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for
Love you Sup Forums

See I'd say that but the person I was arguing with had actually been raped, and never reported it

Post it on your friends Facebook and tell us how she responds.

It she didn't report it it wasn't rape, obviously. Otherwise she would seek a punishment for the rapist.

Let's say you get robbed. The only scenario in which you wouldn't report it to the police is the one where you don't care about the stolen property and the effort of reporting it is more than the desire to punish the robber.

And by the way the woman doesn't get to decide if it was rape or not.
The court does. That's why unreported "rapes" are not rapes at all.

as someone who takes this thing seriously but not too seriously, the way you figure that out is by doing social surveys and polling people anonymously if they reported it or not and then you compare that average to the real total of unanonymous reports.

the accuracy of the chart is definately misleading though the theory is tentitively sound. Without a trial, its impossible to say that the number of exhonerated rapists that are innocent is that number. furthermore, becuase of the way our justice system works, the assumption that the numbers that faced trial and did not get convicted is greater than the falsely accused doesn't make any sense. they should be the same number or the source is claiming that trials are completely kangaroo in favor of letting the rapist walk even though it was actually proven in court. You can suppose that kind of thing, but as a scientific reference the only way you could measure that is if you took the court cases, reviewed each log and tested to see how likely it was they where guilty even if they got exhonerated for some reason. It just doesn't add up.

The design of the infographic is deceptive as well as the content being bullshit. If you compare the little figures on the left to the ones on the right, you'll find that they aren't the same size. It's to give the subliminal impression that not enough are jailed and a small minority are falsely accused. In addition, the figures are male in form, however women are also rapists as well.

> hello is it police
> so yesterday i went to club and got a biiiit drunk and then i woke up in an unfamiliar house with a fucking white male snoring near me
> i think he raped me help me jail this faggot right now!!

>Jailed

There's a big difference between jail and prison so there's already an issue with terminology.

Good post

This chart is true if you include africa and the middle east.

I remember reddit answered this one time by saying "WE KNOW BECAUSE WOMEN REPORT THEY'VE BEEN RAPED IN ANONYMOUS SURVEYS AND THE NUMBERS DON'T ADD UP UNLESS 75% GO UNREPORTED"

If you're so concerned about "being raped", then you concede that sex is the only thing you have to offer the world.

This might help ya' out, OP.

Suicide

>the person I was arguing with had actually been raped, and never reported it
Then it didn't happen. She probably got drunk, hooked up with somebody and regretted it afterwards.

>got drunk
>hooked up
>think nothing of it
>Survey about rape
>"Have you been raped? This includes having sex with someone when you're drunk."
>W-well I guess, yeah

To debunk this image you'd have to understand statistics. Which means going to a good college, which no one at Sup Forums has ever done. You could have someone make a half-assed meme macro that "debunks" it in like 15 minutes though.

I like that pic.

The image defeats itself.
It implies there's a 5:1 ratio of jailed to falsely accused rapists.

I can't think of any other crime with a ratio that low.
