Whenever my brother used to do stuff like that, he'd always try and find a restaurant on his drive up that he could look forward to stopping at on his way back. He found some really cool places that way, maybe try something like that?

you should definitely dorm up. it sort of sucks, but its a big part of life first year. I moved out of my dorm a few months in, so I experienced both sides of it... I'm still friends with one chick I met in dorm first few months.

People fall into their new groups pretty fast... and the dorm lets you cut through a bunch of people BEFORE they all peel off into cliques. It's like a great equalizer.

Also - lots of sex and shit.

Hey, I'm not going to act like I know exactly what's going on in your head, and I'm not going to tell you that it's going to get any better or worse then it may already be. But what's important is that we try to give ourselves something to look forward to, even if it seems completely unlikely. It could be as simple as looking forward to a new season of a show, or as tourist-y as traveling to some forgotten corner of the globe. Maybe there's even just that one relative you want to watch grow. Whatever it may be, you look forward to it and you work for it if you can, even if it's easier said than done.
