Let's talk about Classic Rock.
Some shit to get people arguing:
Led Zeppelin or The Who?
Pink Floyd or The Doors?
The Beatles or The Stones?
Yes or Rush?
Blue Oyster Cult or Golden Earring?

>Suck-Up Extra Credit Question:
If You Could Make One Change to One Classic Rock Band, What Would It Be?
>Led Zeppelin or The Who?
Zeppelin wins easily. The Who has some really good songs, but their average song is merely decent.
>Pink Floyd or The Doors?
For me, it's the Doors. Pink Floyd is great, but I can listen to The Doors over and over in a way that I can't with Pink Floyd.
>The Beatles or The Stones?
The Beatles.
>Yes or Rush?
Yes, though I'm not a huge fan of either band.
>Blue Oyster Cult or Golden Earring?
Blue Oyster Cult wins on account of generally being catchier.

>Change a band
id make freddy not get fucking aids so early. fucker kicked the bucket way to early. Why did he have to have such a horrible butt buddie.
>Led Zeppelin or The Who?
Zeppelin cause about 50% of my musical upbringing was thanks to Bonham. Also, Page knew how to steal a riff
>Pink Floyd or The Doors?
The Grateful Dead
>The Beatles or The Stones?
Blues>Flowers and sunshine any day
>Yes or Rush?
I've seen Rush three times live, and the other 50% of my drumming experience is thanks to Peart, and my pops making me learn songs for Rush tickets. Yes is super good too tho.
>Blue Oyster Cult or Golden Earring?
Entry level when it comes to both so idk.

>Underrated: Dire Straits
When I was younger, I found a lot of Dire Straits to be kind of boring, but I think I'm more in tune with it as I get older. I've been listening to a smattering of solo Knopfler stuff recently, and it's pretty good.
>Honorable Mention: Black Sabbath (My second favorite)
Black Sabbath has always sounded a bit primitive to my ears--not untalented, mind you, but more like that style of music hadn't been perfected yet (which makes sense as they were pretty much inventing it), and so it sounds almost like a rough draft. Admittedly, some of that might come down to production quality. I'd love to hear Sabbath Bloody Sabbath with the production excellence of, say, a good Pink Floyd song (though obviously more of an edge). I have come to appreciate Black Sabbath more in recent years, and have a number of their songs in my general music rotation, though with a few exceptions (War Pigs' popularity is well deserved), I regard them as good rather than great songs.
>Greatest: Fleetwood Mac
They're surprisingly varied, I have to give them that. I've been meaning to get around to listen through the discography, but I've yet to embark upon that extended project.
>Overrated: Foreigner
I tend to lump them in with Journey and other similar bands, which are pleasant enough to listen to, but never really hit it out of the park for me.
