Me? I'm just a lawnmower.
You can tell me by the way I walk.

I hate every track on this except Dancing with the Moonlit Knight.

Some fucking weird lyrics in this album. Battle of Epping Forrest is just weird lyrics the song

But it's literally Genesis's best album. How can you say you ahte every track when Firth of Fifth is on it

God i love this album

It's on this track where you can hear Hackett's tapping technique that so inspired Eddie Van Halen a few years later.

Am I right in saying More Fool Me was the first time Phil Collins took lead vocals as well?

It's like the most contrived song ever but it's still so entertaining. Them synths.

For Absent Friends was earlier.

theres a fat old lady outside the saloon

Has anyone ever figured out what the song is even about? Well apart from being about The Battle of Epping Forrest

Strange how the stuff Genesis released after the 80's is what got them more noticed / popular. There pre 70's stuff is some of the best prog music (SEBTP, Foxtror, Nursery Cryme, LLDOB etc) whilst a lot of the 80's stuff and stuff without Gabriel just sounds more poppy and artificial

how do you hate firth of fifth come on dude. Like moonlit knight is for sure my favorite on there, but how can anyone legit dislike firth of fifth what the fuck

i LOVE side A on this album but side B is significantly worse imo
this used to be the only early genesis album I liked, but after listening to side A so many times, it got me into foxtrot and nursery cryme :)

this

Side A is the best half of the album but side B has The Battle of Epping Forest and The Cinema Show, both of which are brilliant songs. I'm not much a fan of After the Ordeal and Aisle of Plenty though. They're the songs I tend to zone out on

eh, none of it was for me
I don't know what it is, it sounds like the entire B side of the album rewound 4 years in their progress as a band and just sounded really underwhelming, which is unfortunate because I think side A of the album was the band's peak in songwriting and skill
