RISE UP WE ARE GOING TO RISE UP

Black Flag is a great band and I like them a lot but I automatically assume anyone with a Black Flag tattoo is a meathead.

they did make a half-metal album

>chorus' lyrics are in the title of the song
>still misinterprets the chorus' lyrics

who else likes Loose Nut and In My Head better than their earlier stuff? I feel like I'm in the extreme minority on that one but I like how unhinged those records sound.

WE GOT...NOTHIN' BETTER TO DO
THAN LURK ON Sup Forums AND HAVE A COUPLEA BREWS

Not a fan of Loose Nut at all but In My Head is hugely underrated. I don't like it quite as much as Damaged or First 4 Years but it's definitely a great album

In my head is criminally underrated.

Keith Morris Black Flag is the only good Black Flag

Is there any punk band that's more quotable than Black Flag?

SPRAY PAINT THE WALLS

some of the live bootlegs from that final era are wild

Can confirm, I have one.

Talking Heads

Minutemen

NO MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

My hot take is that Damaged permanently ruined hardcore by making it a scene for angry pumped up meatheads and alienating the more palatable teenage angst that created the genre. After 1980 hardcore becomes increasingly insular and violent, and the kids that would have been in punk bands move to post-punk or alternative rock

>permanently ruined hardcore

But consider all the interesting genres hardcore led to that would have probably never existed without Damaged.

WE'RE GONNA LISTEN TO ENTRY LEVEL FAKE TOUGH GUY HARDCORE MUSIC TONIGHT

>being this much of a faggot
haha yeah man I listen to the music for the image as well

But the whole point of hardcore was that it was trying to keep the raw DIY punk ethos alive. All those new wave and post-punk bands were started by the fashionista punks that were just moving onto the next trend.

Half of Family Man and all of The Process of Weeding Out is metal.

I like those albums equally to all the BF albums,as, in my opinion, Black Flag never put out a bad record.

>In B4 Hurr Durr Henry Rollins ruined the band

This is Henry Rollins' favorite Black Flag album of all time.

See

Carnivore

isn't this Thrash Metal

Agree so hard, Loose Nut is eh but In My Head rules especially with bonus tracks. Out of this World is one of my faves on the album

Nah its Trash Metal

Where were you when you realized the 2nd half of My War is the best Black Flag?

What do you think about this version of nothing left/scream?

I think the demo version had way better guitar playing, the guitar slides on nothing left are awesome
