There's no reason to own CD's. They're just 1's and 0's etched into a disc. Cassettes are more unique and interesting.

We moved to CDs because you don't have to flip them over in the middle of an album, you can actually navigate from track to track, and they are never eaten by their players, requiring the usage of a pencil to reel the tape back in. Also, CDs don't fold like tape can.
