Was it really that bad?
Was it really that bad?
they had one song I liked
Kind of. But maybe now that they're not selling enough tickets, they'll make something better in response.
yes. it was that bad.
Half of it is 9/10. The other half is like 3/10
yea i think their next record could turn out to be really good as a result of this
I’m hoping it’ll be a kick in the ass for them, but also afraid that it’s too late and that any comeback will be just ok
being this optimistic about the marionetted corpse of a mediocre indie pop band
how did they go from Funeral to this
i really wish they do a new album and it's great.
columbia records
it was okay
Isn't it weird when two bands that are at least alright on their own get together and both products come out worse?
It happened with Josh Homme and the Arctic Monkeys just like it happened with Arcade Fire and James Murphy.
It's probably the best record they've made
wat
I liked it better than reflektor
We dont deserve love is seriously their best song
Yeah
Shit man, at least Reflektor had the title track, We Exist, and Orpheus. This one had nothing going for it
>Everything Now
>Put Your Money on Me
>We Don’t Deserve Love
it had that going for it
I like the s/t track but it's earwormy to the point where I just can't listen to it anymore.
There are a couple more good/very good songs on the album (Put Your Money on Me, Electric Blue) but they get drowned out by the mediocre or straight up bad portions of the album.
It's not *bad* but it's a bad followup even to Reflektor. If this was a debut of some new indie band, the narrative would be completely different.
But both Humbug and Reflektor are amongst the bands' best albums
Signs of Life grew on me, even if it has the dumbest lyrics they've ever written. That groove is aight tho
I liked that. Fuck the critics.
