Imagine all the countries in North and South America are in a union where non-elected officials who earn hundreds of thousands of dollars make up laws which none of the countries can vote on. Each country pays membership fees and receives money back, but the USA, having the largest economy, does not receive its full contribution back. What funds it does receive have to be spent on what the union says rather than what the USA necessarily needs. Also, the union allows free movement all of citizens of North and South America free movement between all of the member countries. This means that a massive stream of unqualified people flood to the USA and do (shit) work for stupidly low prices because even doing it for low prices is better than staying in their own country to work.
