It's just a noisy dreampop album with unintelligible lyrics

>it's just a noisy dreampop album with unintelligible lyrics

why do Sup Forums worship this piece of shit so much? it's because of its genre contains the word "shoe" right? haha it sound le funny right? fucking retards

it stays incredibly intense with the noise while simultaneously being very easy to be sucked into the dreaminess.

It's like a feather painted by the tears of a butterfly, emitting a blinding radiance to all Flora and Fauna. Colors stream into the river, crafting sculptures of tress to scare all who remain.

>shoegaze-fags

The guitar is literally the only good part of the album

This more aptly describes that Candy Claws album

why do lyrics need to be intelligible? why isn't noise appealing to you? why can't you appreciate the production, sound engineering, and overall density of the album?

newfag get out

I do like noise, but not the "LET'S JUST PUT VACCUUM SOUNDS OVER THE INSTRUMENTS AND VOCALS SO YOU ONLY HEAR NOISES WITH SOME MUSIC BURIED BENEATH IT"

Havent listened to this for pretty much exactly two years now, how time flies. Thanks for reminding me it exists with your gay thread, will have to give it a comfy play through in the morning.

because the warm instrumentation and lack of quiet moments tricks my brain into thinking i'm participating in human contact

Wonder if it'd sound better without so much noise desu

Listening to Slowdive - Sing right now and that gif fits pretty much perfectly.

OP is a complete retard but your post is the gayest thing i've ever read.

MBV is my favorite band but you need to kill yourself, you pretentious fuck.

Can I just go one day without someone questioning my sexuality?

this is the kind of people who listens to shoegaze

not even surprised

at least i'm open about being lonely, cuck
maybe you've got some issues yourself you need to iron out

I didn't mean actually question it, I just hate when people call me a faggot or insinuate I'm gay when I'm not.

>Explain the album to me. I don't get it, so I'm gonna shitpost and hope someone breaks it down for me.

If you have to make it clear to people that you're not gay, you are probably gay but are just insecure about it. Don't worry about it, user, we're pretty accepting on Sup Forums

your just spouting Sup Forums memes and using them as your opinions

No, you inbred. The only time I've ever been called "homosexual" was, and still is, on Sup Forums (everyone gets called a faggot here, let's be honest). My friends see me as a bit feminine sometimes, mostly because of my idealism, but I am 100% not gay at all. I've had 2 girlfriends and multiple crushes on other girls before, to the point where I sometimes had to conceal my boner in the presence of cuties.

Besides, even if I were... the LGBT community probably would hate me for what I wrote in 6th grade...

lmao just be bi and don't give a shit about that

relationships are still a waste of time

Jesus fucking Christ how new are you

idk if this is bait but

no offence but you don't get it and that's the most common reaction that people have when they don't.

you can't listen to it like you would other music, where you follow things like chord progressions or melodic riffs or interesting chord progressions/rhythms. And also how you would often pick apart instruments and follow them individually like the bass/drums or the way the guitar player is doing whatever hes doing. With loveless its more like you gotta imagine all the noise except maybe the drums but including the vocals as one "thing" that the sound is coming from, and just stay really in the moment as you pay attention to it as if the sound was a big tidal wave going through you. I sound really cringy and stupid but like its true. Also if you dont have ear-encompassing headphones or a good stereo setup you're really missing out because the sound is supposed to be really spacious but dense at the same time with the whole wall of sound thing. Oh and also, I find almost every time i revisit this album it doesn't really start to sound like the way i describe until im like 15-20 minutes into listening continuously at a decent mid volume. Once my ears kind of get warmed up i guess i can just listen to it on loop and by hypnotized completely by the sound. Once i stop listening it feels weird being not surrounding in thicc noise.

tl;dr just feel it senpai and make sure your audio isnt earbuds

>generalizing

lmao

i said chord progressions twice but im super tired arrest me

yes haha thats why they say listen to it with headphones so you put a shoe on your head haha you got it boi its a meme

>yeah i took a freshman english class too youre not that hot

tl;dr

souvlaki is fine

I like the way it sounds, I don't have to justify anything to you

Who are you quoting?

>>it's just a noisy dreampop album with unintelligible lyrics

Yeah, but it's a really really fucking good noisy dreampop album with unintelligible lyrics.

new copypasta?

Why do people on here get so mad if an acclaimed album doesn't click for them? I've been wondering this for the past six years. This board would be even more boring if everyone has cookie cutter Sup Forumscore taste, so why don't you stick to music you actually like rather than obsessing over shit you couldn't appreciate

probably they're mad at themselves

iktf

I agree, but some people try to be contrarian simply for the fact of being contrarian?

>"Oh, Sup Forums widely accepts this album as good? REEEEEEEEE IT SUCKS IT SOUNDS BAD I DONT LIKE IT"
>Never bring up solid reason or argument on why they dont like it
>Know for a fact that if it was 10x LESS popular they would jerk off over it

At this point, we're no better than normies, just using music to rise up our egos instead of just appreciating music for what it is.

i'm a contrarian fag but what disappoints me is not the fact that it's acclaimed, it's the fact that people shit their pants hard over this album. is it the same thing? and to be honest most of my music taste was initially formed by my refusal to listen to popular stuff, so i started seeking alternatives

...

This just doesn't make sense to me, so you think that if someone is popular it's bad? how does it get popular in the first place? If you like someone and it becomes popular, will you start not liking it?

It seems awfully shallow to decide what you like and don't like because of other peoples opinions on the album

You seem like a prime example of what pointed out

>it's just a deaf fag playing violin with unintelligible lyrics

why do Sup Forums worship this piece of shit so much? it's because of his name contains the word "beet" right? haha it sound le funny right? fucking retards

i don't think popular is bad, i'm just allergic to hype, can't help it really. the most important thing to me is that i discover it myself and not because it's posted everywhere. if the artist i discovered turned out to have a bigger mass appeal than i expected, it doesn't bother me. what matters is that i discovered the music myself
