well for starters, boards of canada ain't ambient music
Listen to some actual ambient music
BoC makes Idm with quite a few ambient tracks. Literally what are you saying my g
idm is a bullshit fake name for a genre that wikipedia dickheads mistake for being real. they have some beatless tracks that are not ambient music.
it is you autists.
>Hehe every Sup Forums core album is bad look at me !
They make downtempo you arselicker. Also IDM isn't a thing
boc is great but not ambient music
I'm the first one you quoted and I like that album. It's just not ambient or IDM
listen to these: youtu.be
yuck die
Then what are they making?
So you could make even more vapid BoC copycat trash or even worse, vaporwave garbage?
Kill yourself.
Downtempo
record yourself sneezing
slow the recording down in audactiy by 400-500%
maybe add some really subtle, high sustain synths in there too, you can slow those down in audacity as well if you want
profit
>vaporwave
I may be autistic, but not THAT autistic
So basically ambient
You can't assert your ignorance just because you're too stubborn to back down
if downtempo is basically ambient then slow rock is basically metal
Any tips for creating something like BoC's Twoism? Anyone know some samples in this style? What are some good samples for this stuff or songs to sample for drums?
ITT: Autists arguing over words
itt you mean EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD
Don't listen to ambient music
listen to SAW 85-92 and Volume II
Just make a normal song and slow it down by a factor of 50
It doesn't matter what samples you use. You can take a sample of literally anything and tinker around with it to make it sound like a snare, kick, whatever. The key ingredient to BOC's sound is that warm slow LFO synth.
get an analogue synth
get a guitar with pedal
get a program like logic or garageband or something easy to jump in with
it's very easy, kids can do it
