Why are they bothering making an Uncharted movie? It would just be like one of the games, minus the actual interactivity and gameplay that makes it enjoyable.

I mean the cinematics are already pretty much movie-tier

because indiana jones has maybe 10 more years of life in him and shia couldn't make the cut

hey if we get a wise cracking nathan fillion im ok with it

>I mean the cinematics are already pretty much movie-tier

a poorly directed one

>shoot them
>proceed to shoot at the ground

Because Hollywood is stupid as shit.

>Uncharted gameplay
>enjoyable

there had better be at least as many explosions as your typical Michael Bay movie. I don't want this movie unless they spend a ridiculous amount of money blowing shit up and doing crazy stunts for it.

they should just make a totally new adventure franchise. Nathan Drake's stories were always just an excuse for the gameplay. He's a completely unrealistic character outside of a videogame

he's got stormtrooper aim

Because Indiana Jones already exists.

>implying it isn't

>fourth game
>enemies still bullet sponges

wew

I love the way the strap on the AK bounces around. Very nice, subtle detail.

Cast it Sup Forums

Elena: the chick who voices her

Sam: ?

>Shot 7 times with an AK
>limp off

video games are so cool

>Uncharted
>Gameplay

Back to Sup Forums you go

I just played The Last of Us and fucking loved it.

Do these Uncharted games have similar action or a balance of story and action or are they really that boring?

it's about as good of directing as Shawn Levy could do

People come to expect the game to keep to its established formula by the fourth entry. Besides, the guy the player kicked off the ledge body-blocked like 4 bullets from hitting the first guy (who was almost dead), and damage depends on your weapon (the MP34 is the weakest gun in the game)

Doesn't look like crushing difficulty to me

funny, they always tell me to go here

even on crushing you are about as resilient as a kevlar guy, only you can run and climb and regenerate health. But it has to be like that or you would die in an instant every time

I can't understand how anyone could think they are boring games on the first playthrough. The climbing and cinematics get boring after replaying the single player multiple times, but the fighting does not, and you can replay any of the fights via the main menu.

If they have to do it, IMO they should just make a super-high-quality CG movie with tons of violence and explosions

Thanks, probably gonna get the collection or whatever it's called. I just see it get so much shit here, but like most things, it's probably opposite the truth.

>interactivity and gameplay that makes it enjoyable.

uncharted's gameplay is ass and its barely interactive

How the fuck can a shooter with competitive multiplayer matches be "barely interactive?"

mostly because there is literally nothing new in uncharted that anyone who's been playing video games for more than one console generation hasn't seen a thousand times.

Gameplay elements which take an extreme back seat to being "cinematic." Then when you examine the cinematic elements, the writing is shit, the acting is shit, and the direction is shit.

>muh multiplayer

oh you mean the bog standard gameplay of literally a thousand video games?

So I guess it has to be new to be good? Fuck you.

an actioner with this kind of camera work would have to be 90% cgi anyway.

guaranteed, it would look fantastic

The gameplay isn't the point anyway. Uncharted developers have zero creative freedom. They must just copy past the script Amy Henig wrote and make the gameplay as simple as possible because the budget is so enormous that even your grandma must be able to play it to recover the cost. The guys at Naughty Dog hate making these games but Sony decide.

>moving the goalposts

..unless you are actually implying that games with multiplayer are "barely interactive" just because a lot of them exist, in which case you are fucking retarded.

Not like anyone ever talks about this game's MP anyway, even though it is fun as hell

Fuck off all ND games mp modes are fun as hell. Theres a reason last of us is still full of online players.

if that's true then why did Sony allow them to take such a gamble with The Last of Us, forcing them to have a skeleton crew under Amy Hennig develop Uncharted 3? Naughty Dog only bothered to make Uncharted 4 because they felt that Uncharted 3 was not up to their standards.

That have a hundred times more creative freedom than Bungie did under Microsoft.

The first game isn't that great and the fourth game makes the others all seem very dated. Second and third games are fun though

Ok sonygger. Except even Amy Hennig said recently that working at Naughty Dog was hell because sony treat them like shit. To the point she now regrets making those games. I think she knows better than you.

Hm, downloading now actually. First one still worth playing or would you rec starting w/ 2?

It's the same game three time. Only the cinematics change.

So you mean like every movie based on a game?

name one other third person shooter where you can do a sequence of moves like in or or if it was so bad then why didn't she leave until she was kicked out? Oh yeah, because of the money. She was a project lead so she was the one cracking the whip most of the time. Her crying about work conditions there is a bit hypocritical IMO

resident evil was nothing like the games, other than the plot having zombie viruses and raccoon city

Pls don't tell me that i just spent the last of my NEETbucks on it and wanna remain positive

I'd start with 2 honestly

The point being is that it isn't interactive. OP's point was retarded. What fucking movie is interactive?

OP's point is that the cinematic nature of the videogames makes the notion of adapting them into an actual movie kind of redundant

should they reboot Indiana Jones? They can't just change actors, only James Bond is allowed to do that

>name another tps where you can do quicktime events

...
