This band is pretty cool, diggind this new release, their last ep is also very good.
I also feel that their lead guitarist carries the band on his back, his playing is so god damn good, its great the way he clashes and interplays with the vocalist, the guitar tone is very pleasing too.

Was looking forward to this but unfortunately it's another case of band gets popular, goes major then they get worse to appeal to the mainstream. The re-recordings are unnecessary and made the songs worse, crazy how bad the guitars sound now. I say this as someone who loves pop.

It's tied right now for one of these three. Neo Wax Bloom is that colorful electronic album with constantly changing rhythms that I have been wanting for a while, 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time somehow manages to be a hip hop double album that doesn't feel bloated with filler, and What Passes For Survival only takes what I like about the more technical yet super intense aspects of metal to the next level.

I am being unironic. I have never had the experience quite like this where I thought the singles were ass and I had the comeback of my life and the album actually gelled together and enhanced the singles making me like them.

The amazing thing is the first singles are some of the worst songs, there are incredible songs on Reputation and I have not kidding heard a more solid top to bottom radio friendly album since Michael Jacksons Thriller. Seriously would not be shocked if this sold 20 mill copies.

End Game is a banger with beautiful vocals by TS and Ed Sheeran, I love how well it mixed trap with pop. I Did Something Bad, such a singalong song, so fierce. Delicate is very nice and listenable. Great lyrics. Getaway Car is another incredible singer with deep interesting lyrics that make you think. Dancing With Your Hands Tied...into Dress, honestly erotic and luscious combo of 2 songs, maybe Rihanna reaches this level. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things was funny and another good singalong. New Years Day one of the most heartbreaking ballads in the year.

I feel like I am trolling my ass off right now because ARTV gave this a 2/5 but I can't even think of a bad song on Reputation, could see this being a CD I wear out.

yes the numbers are my rating out of 10. it's not so much a chart of AOTY, but rather a chart of everything i've heard this year (released in 2017), and my personal rating for it.

don't check it out, it's bad. i just like to include every new release i've heard. the albums rated 7 and higher I recommend.

just to add onto this, these are just my personal ratings of the albums, i'm not trying to place any objectivity onto them. but if you do recognize some albums i've rated highly and you enjoyed them, you might like the other albums i've rated highly too.

I loved this, but I wish we didn't already hear 5 of the tracks. Anyway, Seiko Oomori- Kitixxxgaia is probably my AOTY. Her other album from this year, Muteki, is also killer.

They just released their first full length and only have 2 EPs before it. Start with any of the 3 and you should be good.
