How do you guys stay discrete while using your phone in the theater? Any secrets or tips?

How do you guys stay discrete while using your phone in the theater? Any secrets or tips?

I think I've gotten pretty good at it, but every now and then, I get some loser complaining. Not that it matters. I keep using my phone anyways.

I put mine in cinemode

delet ths

got me good, OP

i keep a sharpened chopstick in my pocket whenever i visit the cinema. and if some cunt starts texting in the middle of it, i stab them in the back of the head, hard enough to penetrate to the skull.

I watch the movie

braille terminal

Turn the brightness down? Fucking dumb Americans. Maybe you should worry about dodging bullets.

I go alamo drafthouse

>Using your phone in the cinema
That's like a beacon to us designated cinema shooters

God damn I wish they would open one (or 50) of these in Canada.

Just a better movie-watching experience all around. No children, food delivered to you at reasonable prices, alcohol, and ZERO TOLERANCE for talking or using your phone. I seriously do not know how these have not become standard. Nothing like having a pizza discreetly delivered to you in the theatre. Only thing is I wish they could optimize paying for the movie so they didn't come by at the climax with a bill.

>run card when paying for movie
>tab during movie
>option to cash out when leaving or just leave and a 20% tip is automatically added
>receipt emailed to you

Fixed it for you.

>see kid using phone in kinoplex
>get fucking furous and grabtake out glock from my top hat
>shoot the fucking phoneuser
>the audience applause and congratulate me with several handshakes and Trump comes in to give me a medal of honor

Is this how it works now? Or a suggestion?

I'd agree with everything except the 20% tip being added. Just seems like to make any alteration you'd be "opting out" whereas if you leave no tip by default then you're making it too easy not to tip.

Cash out at the end doesn't work because then everyone is lining up after the movie when you just want to go home.

Maybe some kind of ... they bring the bill and you just write in the tip, like when you bill to a hotel room, with your credit card information already pre-added. And then it automatically charges you.

Obviously if you want to pay with cash I guess you could have a cash out option.

DUDE TRUMP IS BAD LMAO

>handshakes are bad
found the nu-male

Drumpf is literally Hitler.

Maybe you worry about dodging large vehicles lmao

kys nigger

Fake and gay
It's also a good way to get your ass kicked

>went to see a movie
>guy in front of me had his phone out watching youtube

come on bruh

You actually triggered me with this bait.

In my local theater the faggot who stands in the back will tell you to gtfo, afterwards he will investigate your phone to check if you were filming the movie.

If they find any footage they will get you fucked.

You have to turn the brightness all the way down.

I myself always turn my phone off but it only pisses me off when some idiot has the brightness at full blast.

Memes aside, shitposting aside, bait aside

but does anyone here really use their phone in the movie?

I don't even use my phone while I watch movies at home.

Good, no one wants to see a bunch of little shiny screens pop up while watching something they paid for. Also who the fuck seriously records a movie on their phone camera? No one even watches shitty cam rips anyway.

Most cinemas here just isolated the room, so you dont get a signal. Thought that would become standard pretty quickly.

>not being allowed to use your phone in a theater
lol you don't need anyone's permission to use your own phone. You're an adult. Do whatever you want. Use your phone in the theater.

Only use it an integer number of times.

I do.

For me, seeing a movie is about entertainment and having a good time. It's not school where you have to pay attention the entire time and study and take notes. If I want to check my phone or listen to some music or talk to my friends during a movie, and as long as I'm not being too noisy or distracting about it, why not?

People chomping on popcorn, gulping down soda, and getting up for the bathroom are all distracting, even moreso than checking your phone if you're discrete about it, yet theaters allow and encourage those things.

I try to cover it with my other hand, if it's work related. Why would i use it in any other situation while watching a movie?
But I don't get all that cinema experience. I prefer watching at home.
