thinking about making some hot chocolate and prepping some ribs with a dry rub :)
Do you have a good recipe for ribs? All in all I would consider myself a good cook, but everytime I make ribs, they are OK, but, like "meh"
first i like to dry rub to taste. preheat oven to 250 fahrenheit. wrap entirely in foil and place them on a pan with the meat side down for 2 hours. then, i take them out for 10 minutes, lather with barbecue sauce, then put them back into the oven meat side up, except this time only the bottoms and sides are covered by the foil. every 10 minutes i will open the oven and reapply a layer of barbecue sauce, doing this 5 times total for a total period of an hour including the 10 minutes i let them rest. i like them at least.
oh. i forgot to mention. i crank it up to 350 after beginning the barbecue sauce phase. so yeah. takes ~3 hours total. great results though.
Ok, that's interesting. But I suppose the meat quality also plays a large role.. Which bbq sauce do you use? Often ribs are a bit too sweet to my taste
i use one called captain curt's boss sauce. it is regional, to my knowledge. mostly vinegar and water based. not so much tomato. i am not a fan of sauces that are mostly tomato.

i will note that i prefer the "hot" variant. it isn't even that spicy to me. different strokes for different folks though.

nothing special quality wise. just local supermarket. i am not so picky.

Breakfast ribs would be THE thing. I just hate "normal" breakfasts, i usually just have a cup of coffee

i feel you! i don't really like breakfast food at all... never been a fan of carbs, bacon, sausage, any of that stuff... though crepes are good when they are very thin :)
My grandma made the best crepes, as thin as paper and homemade jam.. You could a dozen of them without a problem
