Sauce on this?

Last show I went to: last night, Teen Suicide/Guerilla Toss/Zula at the Kava Bar in Ithaca, NY

Zula was really fucking good to open the show and I'm glad we saw them. Pretty cool minimalist math funk pop type ventures. 7/10

Guerilla Toss knocked the ball out of the fucking park. Seriously, they are all absurdly good at their instruments. Bassist literally made the stage his bitch for a full hour. I talked to the singer after the set to say how much I liked it and she complimented my outfit. Felt good because she was pretty cute. 8/10

Teen Suicide was a fucking joke. I never listened to them outside of "haunt me (x3)" and I knew of Sam Ray as a figure but that's it. The dude was a goddamn egomaniac, complaining about every tiny stage setup quirk, stopping the set after every song to talk about how these dudes at Panera pissed him off earlier in the day, etc. I was straight up heckling by the end of it, he was disrespectful as hell and honestly seemed like a fucking moron. 4/10

You got to meet the Guerilla Toss qt? Jelly as fuck

i saw aesop rock and rob sonic in missoula MT last winter and it was fucking great. i really like impossible kid so i knew all the new songs whereas everyone there was just waiting for none shall pass and daylight. he didn't do catacomb kids which was a disappointment but it was a fantastic show. guy on the wheels was incredible

also wtf is that picture i wanna go to that show

whats he see?

>mfw pussy IRL

>lemme get a better look at that

Sup Forums is always right

last show i was at was one with keiji haino, which i also participated in, which was pretty cool but it was less of a concert and more of a performance.

the show i was at before that was one with Magma, which was fucking fantastic. doubt i'll see anything like it in a long time.

ariel pink 10/10. don bolles was the DJ before sets and played a bunch of kick ass obscure glam rock/ power pop, the opening acts were great and ariel put on an incredible performance before he met with fans at the merch table after the show to sign records or whatever.

It was the CELESTE (French black metal) and OAKEN (Hungarian experimental hardcore) on Nov 2nd @ Budapest, Hungary.
The venue has 3 stages and this was at the smallest, which usually has the crappiest sound but somehow this evening both bands sounded great.

I am an OAKEN fan, seen them a few times, but honestly this was their best show I have experienced. Also they played a longer set than they usually do so that was a treat.

CELESTE is a French black metal band I was barely familiar with but they convinced me that I want this band on my playlist. I have seen ~4-5 black metal bands recently (Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber etc.) but Celeste is the most compatible with my taste. I also liked their visual gimmick with the red headlamps.

All-in-all great bands, great show, money and time well spent (~7.5 USD)

saw him in san antonio 2 nights ago, was fantastic - was right in front of Ariel and Don the whole time. The opener Bite Marx was pretty good too

Julien Baker @ The Lantern, Bristol - 10/10

She comes across as one of the most down to earth and grounded people and sounds just as good live if not better. Made 0 noticeable mistakes while playing and was super humble with the crowd. Even cracked a few jokes. Would love to see her again

Bardo Pond/Liars/GY!BE

Bardo Pond were way better than expected. Hadn't listened to their new stuff before I went but the show had a nice heavy shoegaze vibe. Nothing overly memorable but enjoyable while it lasted. 6/10

Liars were incredible. Amazing energy, Angus was in a sparkly pink dress which was hilarious, played pretty much every song I wanted them to. 9/10

GY!BE were also great, but sadly they mainly played stuff from the latest album which I wasn't crazy about. Still it sounded way better live. Unfortunately during the "they don't sleep anymore on the beach" sample two blokes in front of me broke out in a fight. Pretty unexpected and killed the mood desu, even if it wasn't the band's fault. 8/10

Wavves/Joyce Manor. On a whole it was fun but I'm not really too into Joyce Manor's music.

Man I just saw them a couple weeks ago and all they played was the new album, not in the same order as the album tracklist either which was weird. And then Slow Riot in full.

I've seen them three times and the only time they played anything from LYSF was the first half of Storm when I saw them for the first time. Would love to see them play some older tunes. I think if I saw the last half of Sleep I'd be able to die a happy man.

God

moar gybe stories would be cool, apparently i bought tickets while i was blackout drunk last night

jim?

Run the Jewels ad Danny Brown last Thursday. They were good, lots of energy, pretty amazing light show. It's surreal seeing Killer Mike and El-P playing this massive venue considering it wasn't long ago that they were still cult rappers only liked by backpackers.

Was that the "Transformer" show at Albert Hall? Arrived after Bardo Pond's set but Liars and Godspeed were incredible. Missed that fight but there was some dick in a halloween costume was bellowing during the quiet parts near the end.

Saw wiki, hes always great but this show was particularly rad. Lots of moshing and energetic dancing from almost everyone in the crowd.
I also saw death grips a few weeks ago and it was an immaculate show as usual!

>blackgaze band with red headlamps

twiabp w/ rozwell kid and animal flag at mid east downstairs last thursday.
Rozwell Kid blew twiabp out of the water but twiabp were still ok. animal flag was entertaining but generic.
6/10 overall roz saved it

bite marx was hilarious, i loved his set.

yeh I really wanted to hear mladic or moya but no such luck. Hopefully their next tour doesn't involve them playing their new album in full.
yeh it was. I was right near the front and the two guys fighting were pretty much at the barrier. Didn't expect a godspeed crowd to be that bad but I guess Manchester is Manchester.

Death Grips/ Ministry on Friday.

First time seeing Death Grips. 10/10 performance. I left after they left the stage since I wasn't interested in seeing Ministry and their DUDE FUCK DRUMPF LMAO set.

>all those people filming like its the only time theyll see a naked girl

have these people never heard of porn

VMO/vampillia/Dälek

>VMO
Extremely trashy and tasteless, but very fun live shows. The venue fucked up by keeping on too many lights, because some of the theatrics and mapped visuals work best in a pitch black venue

>Vampillia
Classical/BM/electronic/hardcore/prog/whatever hybrid composed by the drummer from RUINS. Great musicians, highly energetic, unpredictable, crazy as fuck vocalist
Still pretty trashy but unf the drums

>Dälek
Their songs hit so much harder than on record (obviously), but everything starts to blend together after a few songs..I wish they'd switch up some of the downtempo beats

hmmm

Saw Japanese Breakfast recently and somehow fell even more in love with her - really great show with tons of energy and charisma.

Perfume Genius - with Julianna Barwick, Austra and Baths. All the support were pretty bad, especially Baths who sounded like dogshit. PG was transfixing and flawless.

FJM - pretty great set. Justified the price of admission with big orchestra and all the bells and whistles. Some dude in front of me kept cuttin the beef pretty bad though which was pretty off-putting.

Been a pretty decent week of music overall.
Seeing Mount Eerie tomorrow in a church too which should be interesting

>bell witch
>primitive man
>various shitty doom openers

bell witch was actually surprisingly bad. their timing was off, they shouldn't have toured just the new album. I've seen em a few times touring Longing and they were sick, but i was extremely unimpressed

i don't care about primitive man, stuck around for 2 or 3 songs, could feel my body getting fatter being in the vicinity of the band.

overall, 5/10

Saw Death Grips.
awesome stage show, awesome crowd, my hearing is still fucked 3 weeks later.

the sound quality on that videos is surprisingly clear

Death Grips on Wed.
Band played flawlessly. Setlist was great.
There was a severe lack of stage lights; only a very dim purple backlight, and no lasers, which was pretty disappointing.

I'm a big fan of 80s Ministry, so when they played that fucking Antifa sonng and brought out 2 masked dudes waving red and black flags, me and my buddies walked out. I was hoping the song was ironic, but I seriously doubt it.
7/10

Also, I'm seeing Machine Girl tonight so I'm fucking stoked.

>not knowing Sam Ray is an asshole
Love this band live show was fun as Fuck. Got my ticket for free for bringing the band drugs. Great Big Joyous Celebration is one of my favorite albums of last year. Guess you just have to get addicted to heroin to appreciate them

is that miley

East Germany was a happy place though! Full of joy and laughter and expression!

Saw King Crimson last night. Fucking incredible 9/10. Entire band was super tight

yo I was there too, were you in a group of meme kids?

it looks like it. Kind of cool her shows turned into a sex pit. Makes her not all talk.

I swear every time I see KC live, I'm always near some guys who look like Hank, Dale, Bill and Boomhauer from King of the Hill.

source user please

Every guy there looked exactly how I would expect the crowd at a KC concert to look like it was hilarious. Dudes either had gray ponytails or were balding. Also probably the first show I've ever been to that had absolutely no black people lol

Boris.

They were playing Dear, probably their last tour. Didn't stick around for the openers and just went for Boris. It's the 3rd time I've seen them and it was bretty good. Day after Halloween.

Before Boris, I saw this guy.

I cried throughout the whole show. He looked really fucking bad. It was still an amazing show, though.

I think you just enjoy enabling fucking dipshit egomaniacs who can't write a song to save their lives. Absolutely horrendous band

Woah you liked that album so much you couldn't even get the title right lmao

I was at the show, despite liking them alot on recording they were super underwhelming live. Sam Ray is truly an oblivious dickhead, literally could not even tune his guitar properly. I guess it makes sense that he let people in for free in exchange for drugs because he seemed like he was on downers or something, super low energy and meandering the whole time. He felt the need to spew a fucking exposé before each song too, like we get it, this song is "sorta a love song" just cut it with the banter and play the fucking music lmao.

I saw Bleachers with a few friends and even though I don't enjoy their studio material they were fun live. It was free as well so that was nice. Overall probably 6/10

I saw nevershoutnever a few months back because I loved him when I was 12. I was so disappointed. I left 20 minutes in. It was just so boring and not worth it.
