Was pretty disappointed with the new Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof (and Mount Eerie) albums, but the year's gotten a lot stronger as it went on. Definitely better than last year imo

Oh no I enjoy it but it's sort of my usual bag so I'm probably a little harder on it. I'd still go 3/5 which is a very good score for me. 4/10 is excellent aoty contenders. I really like his deeper vocal tones though. Reminds me of Discordance Axis

I wish. There's a lot of potential on the album, but also a lot of odd decisions.
Vidual is only 2 minutes long, the whole album should be cut down to 10 tracks. Krule doesn't max out the tracks he has and instead lets all of his ideas flow into a bloated album. It sucks, because the potential is definitely there.
