been really slacking on hip hop this year, heard:
>damn
>flower boy
>big fish theory
>brockhampton i/ii
anything else worthwhile besides those?

Humble is a strong contender for most annoying yet boring song of the year. Going from sing for me, I’m dying of thirst to that is probably the most humiliating transformation I’ve ever seen from an artist
tylo probably be chillin
THIS. Listen to the Milo album from this year.
also HNDRXX by future is unironically amazing. Also the injury reserve EP is worth checking out
>also HNDRXX by future is unironically amazing
i actually agree
Idk what to tell you man I think you just don't like hip hop if that's how you feel
Why are you here
...
what;s the one under packs
>wow albums we’ve all heard before and are getting stale are awesome lmao
Check out
lojii & Swarvy – Due Rent
Fly Anakin & Kon$ept Jackson – Chapel Drive
Fly Amazon – People Like Us
Peter Bark – Solstice II
I like hip hop, most of it is just watered down and boring. Lil pump’s s/t was better than damn and crouching tiger hidden gabber is too. Sorry people want to listen to music with variety and the genre that has the potential for the most variety (hip hop) is extremely lacking in that department. UGK is the GOAT
Anakin* not Amazon
Also Peter Bark – Solstice
Released late last year, like around Christmas, so kind of this year
Yeah that's all well and good but damn is I objectively a good hip hop album if you like hip hop
I hear you about variety and all that, but just because damns sound is more classic sounding than it KS experimentive doesn't mean it's boring and lacks character
At that point you're just a contraction denying the truth and reality of the situation
...
Joey Bada$$ - ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$
YOU CANT FUCK WITH ME IF YOU WANTED TOOO
THESE EXPENSIVE THESE IS RED BOTTOMS THESE IS BLOODY SHOOOES
leave this board newfags
lets hope we will get pleased with one last good rap album this friday

Youre so woke supereor inteligint bro!!!!
big k.r.i.t. - 4eva is a mighty long time
jonwayne - rap album 2
milo - who told you to think
these are my favs
Big K.R.I.T. - 4eva is a Mighty Long Time
Not him but DAMN. really is pretty shitty. It has a handful of good songs (Element, Loyalty, DNA) but all the rest is snoozecore. Kendrick always and will always have good lyrics and flow but DAMN honestly feels so complacent compared to GKMC or Section 80. It's literally KENDRICK SO HUNGRY LMAO the album. Feels like he doesn't have much to say anymore, and the slower songs are just painful to get through.
LISTEN TO DROP TOP WOP
ITS FUCKING GOOD
4eva is a mighty long time - Big KRIT
easily one of the best albums of 2017,
its a double album as well, and features a mix of different southern influences of hip hop
Daniel Ceaser - Freudian
listen to injury reserve - drive it like it's stolen
8/10 for me desu
I liked the Lil Me mixtape better but this is really good too. Wish that Your Old Droog could have featured on a track though.
>Check Remi Ma's diss record for Nicki Minaj "SHEther". It was brutal.
I just want good music, i don't give a single fuck about "the culture" or it's participants and the way they interact.
Only patrician on the whole thread.
HAS ANYBODY IN THIS FUCKING THREAD LISTENED TO RASKIT?!??
SHITS GOOD!
My boy K.A.A.N has dropped a few projects this year. K.A.A.N x Sgull, Voices, 2609, The Middle and another one coming later this year. Dude never stops working.
Seconding these plus:
>4:44
>All-Amerikkkan Bada$$
>Being You is Great, I Wish I Could be You More Often.
> All the Beauty in this Whole Life
>Blue Chips 7000 (not amazing, but some good bars and beats)
>The Never Story
Oh, check out Known Unknowns and Raskit, too.
Damn, Walk On Water is actually pretty good with Skylar hook. Imagine writing a song and getting replaced with a more popular artist and then them ruining it with their lack of subtlety. It's Renegade all over again.
Rec Raskit. It’s really good, grimey and conscious.
My favourite hiphop projects this year. Big K.R.I.T really came through with an AOTY contender though, check it out. Sean Price is my favorite rapper so I'm biased but genuinely I consider this the best made posthumous hiphop album ever made, and almost on par with the rest of his solo albums. Check this song out for example: youtube.com
K.A.A.N is dope but sometimes feels a bit gimmicky to me.
All good albums
Gimmicky in what way? If you're talking about the no breathing thing, he doesn't depend on that nearly as much anymore. Check out the projects I listed and his latest releases.
Will check it out then, I listened to him a bunch a few years ago and he felt very focused on proving himself as a technical rapper instead of mixing his style up which made him very one-dimensional.
this is probably the most brutal hip hop tune of the current year
youtube.com
too obvious. you have to be more subtle to get a higher (You) yield
You'll adore his new shit then. K.A.A.N x Sgull Vol. 2 and K.A.A.N x Genshin on SoundCloud. Voices, The Middle, and 2609 on Spotify. His style mixes up constantly now and his flows, delivery and lyrics are at their best. He even sings now. Listen to those and tell me what you think.
>Big K.R.I.T - 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time
>Amine - Good For You
>Rick Ross - Rather You Than Me
>Jay-Z - 4:44
>G Herbo - Humble Beast
>21 Savage, Offset, & Metro Boomin’ - Without Warning
maybe its southern bias but i really liked pic related. Having a hard time appreciating a lot of my states artist works the way they like blundering through life to be honest, maybe i'm a fag.
favorite tracks:
>you do that shit
>transportin
>change my ways
>roll in peace
on the more unknown side this tape by Twelve'len is great. Definitely different tho, he's got the most unique sound outta so flo.
Listened to the song you linked, it was pretty different from what I've expected so yeah for sure will peep those that vol 2 project for sure, don't have time right now tho but excited for it. Also make a difference and don't be one of the people that sleep on imperius rex
>Xavier Wulf
>2015
user...
he's alright. cinematic type beats where he talks about all his problems what whatnot.
his rapping style is very angry to the point where sometimes its just him shouting but i'd say his perception album is worth a listen.
Pic related is very good and i imagine no one else here has heard it.
Melanin 9 - Old Pictures
Big Krit's album is good so far. Action Bronson's album was also pretty good. Cunninlynguists put out an album too.
brother ali put out a new album but you should probably listen to shadows on the sun/the undisputed truth first if you haven't heard any of his music before
Wrong one, put it there because I was listening to it at the moment. Should be Belly - Mumble Rap
It's okay.
Big Krit's 4eva is a mighty long time and Joey BadA$$'s All American Badass is a good place to start. Really solid projects, lyrical but not overly indulgent. They both (kind of) have a concept running throughout, but they for sure bump in the whip.
Do you miss the late 2000s/early 2010s era (2008-2012), Sup Forums? Back when the atmosphere of the world had a more relaxed feel and a sense of optimism and hope for the future, in part due to Obama's election and the initial honeymoon over Bush being gone (which ended by Obama's second term when the SJW rot began to set in). Before the atmosphere began getting much more polarizing and bitter around 2013/14 onward with SJWs, ISIS, Black Lives Matter, alt right, refugee crisis, etc.
Yes I know we already thought things were shit in the early 2010s, or that everything went to shit in 2007-2008. But we didn't think it could get any worse, and it did. Much worse.
We really did all die in December 2012; the Mayans were right. Ever since then we've been living in a cruel, bleak, soulless parody world where everything is wrong, and everyone is retarded.
this
FUCKING THIS
Especially Good For You and 4eva Is A Mighty Long, those are probably my 2 Hip Hop AOTYs
drain gang - d&g is the best rap release of the year
>top 5 hip hop albums

I liked this album
...
These are great
>>flower boy

Wiley - Godfather
Good list, Mike’s pretty similar
Rapsodys new album
>hiphop
>try hopsin
>j cole
FUCKING THIS
What's up, home dogs *hand sign*
yo yo yo
it's not contrarion fuckwad, most people felt let down one way or the other. only the stans dickride the album, the hype died quick. it's an ok album but just that, and there's not "objectively good". DAMN fails to deliver, personally (no objectively, fuck you) on the classic front AND the modern shit
13 by Denzel Curry
just listen to eminem's new song for proof of how hip hop decays the soul and leads nowhere
can't second these hard enough
also loyle carner - yesterday's gone was a pretty nice emotional hip hop record
Self titled was Muuuuuuch better
Fucking loved that album
hip hop aoty tbqh
big krit
Besides what's been noted a lot already:
>Blkswn - Smino
>Boomiverse - Big Boi
>Drive it Like it's Stolen - Injury Reserve
>Rags EP & Robots EP - Earthgang
>Rather You Than Me - Rick Ross
>Renaissance - The Underachievers
>Urameshi EP - Anonymuz
