Good morning b, today I'm making a traditional American breakfast, SPAMbasco biscuits.

Here we have our tin of SPAM. Plastic knife to avoid any dishwashing.

I always preferred green Tobasco, but feel free to use whatever flavor you'd like.
I have no idea why my pictures are coming up sideways. Just roll with it.

Just a few more minutes and these puppies will be ready.
Remember to use temperatures rated for nostick cookware when baking with a convection oven. And fuck what the manufacturer says, always grease the sheet.

I always find it easier to slice the spam in the tin, stays upright without getting your fingers slimy.
Here I have only 7 slices, so that means one extra biscuit. Usually I get 4 slices per tin, but I'm on a diet.

Quality thread OP.

Fresh baked!
A little brown on top, as usual, because some idiot at Krups doesn't understand cooking geometry.
Bake=from the bottom.
Broil=from the top.
Toast=from both sides.
Toast is a real slut like that.

Thanks, eh.

Not there-
There!

this looks disgusting and ultra processed. No wonder murricans are fat and unhealthy

what in the world is SPAM

OP, what does SPAM taste like? I know how’s it’s made and it’s supposed to be not too bad.

Is it more of a meaty flavor? Or more of a canned pork taste? Describe smell and texture as well if you can.

Three little fixin's, waiting for more...
Now is the part where we'd usually add the cheese and microwave, but the gouda I had expired in December. Tasted fine, just no good to serve.
It's a shame too, since no American foodstuff is complete without a smothering of melted cheese.
It's in the Bill of Rights.

It's an abbreviation for SPreadable hAM.

whats that yellow can.

also thanks for thread, enjoying it so far. please answer to this

doesnt look spreadable to me

Smells like catfood, salty is the dominant taste. Texture is a bit like liverwurst.
The cats can smell it and will not bugger off.

Murder that shit with Tabasco.
That's PAM, a nonstick cooking spray.
Always grease the sheets.

I know it’s popular in Hawaiian sushi and poke because if that salt, also shelf like I’d like 20 years lol

And here we have the first course of breakfast for a modern American family.
One for Momma.
One for Baby.
And Daddy gets the heel.

20 years after you open it. Before that, who knows!

it may look some kind of gross but maybe ill give it a try if i can find something simliar like spam.

Also, not really a requirement, but everything goes down a little easier after a few shots.
Junior only gets one. He has to go to school today.

True that, at the fair in my county we deep fry it

Aw hell, he picked my lucky Rusty Wallace NASCAR shotglass. I guess he can have two.

Maybe a little Chinese hot mustard for color...

ive ordered hibiki recently. didnt taste good to me. is there really a big difference between the manufacturers or does it all just taste the same but people pretend it is good cause its expensive

Some people prefer to mix whiskey and cola, but why ruin the flavor of either with the other?

Nikka uses a proprietary distillery style, so the taste is unique. The texture is superb, exquisite mouth feel.
I wouldn't say better, as a rule. I tend to judge liquor like I judge women ("How quick can I get fucked and will I regret it tomorrow?) but it is quite good.

With breakfast done, it's time for a pallet cleanser, an "after dinner mint", so to speak.
Big thanks to everyone who joined me for breakfast this morning.
