Bitrate

Do you even bother listening to low bitrate music? If you can't find it in 320+ do you even bother with it? How low do you go?

Once it reaches like 16 kbps it all sounds the same honestly, so there's no point beyond that

I'm very picky. I only like V0.

If it's something rare that I can't find in higher bitrate then yeah. But usually anything from 256 AAC -320 is fine.

I can't really tell the difference when listening to FLAC

256 is okay for older albums and 320 is perfect mix of quality and portability/file size for new stuff

I'll listen to 192kbps mp3.

Anything above V0 is for autistic people

128kb/s

preffer v0 or flac
if cant find those or 320 after extensive search then settle for best available

128kb/s AAC on phone. Otherwise I prefer 256kb/s AAC (even though there is pretty much no difference compared to 192kb/s on my systems) and generally prefer smaller file size. Flash storage is still pretty expensive so 320 is way too big, and the slowness of HDDs triggers my autism much harder than muh bitrate.

Lower than 128kilabops is literally unlistenable for me, and lower than 320 triggers me a little bit. FLAC is my favorite, if only for its archival superiority. I won't pretend I can hear the difference in most music.

I have some stuff in 128 just because it doesn't seem to be available in any higher quality. I try not to get anything lower than V0 though if I can help it.

There's an 8 kbps version of ITAOTS somewhere
It's pretty funny

WOW WHAT A DISCUSSION

...

v0, since it's mostly going on my phone to listen to and doesn't support FLAC.

Flac is great for some stuff that was mastered correctly, but 320 is fine for most things. "youtube" quality some time triggers me, but I'm not autistic enough to care.

i doubt i even notice the difference most of the time but listening to anything below 320 kbps bothers me immensly idk why

AIFF only

i only listen to the band while they're recording minus all filters, compression.

wait

ARE MY EARS HIGH FIDELITY?

maybe i don't hear it right. oh no!!!!!!!!!

FLAC for archival, OPUS for phone's microsd card.

I remember this.

> usually hunting for 320 or flak
> will settle as low as 192 if it's with a good codec that's set up properly

I prefer getting a high quality FLAC file, but if the album isn't officially released or something I can deal with an okay quality mp3

8 kbps is optimum

321 because i'm better than y'all.

I listen to cassette rips so quality doesn't bother me at all.

My oldest mp3 (rec in 160 kbps)

>If you can't find it in 320+ do you even bother with it?
Sometimes i do and sometimes i dont

this

flac or 320

i started with flac>aiff>now VBR m4a

needed to save space, can't really hear much difference tho. so im fine with that
