Sicario was fucking amazing, get the fuck outta here
Blade Runner and Arrival were good too
annihilation was shit
you let me down alex
what movie is this?
Primer da prime shit, man.
Also, best sci-fi and /x/ crossover goes too...Event Horizon.
Gattaca
old but gold:
Supernova (might as well be a Skinemax movie)
Thirteenth Floor
Spriggan 1998 (westernized anime at it's finest)
Outland with 80s(?) sean connery
Moon w/ sam rockwell
and, everybody always blows their load for Ghost in the Shell movie, but the manga is so fucking good because it's just as complex and detailed and brutal as the movie but injected with humor and incredible cyberpunk characters you'd never see in any animated productions
all i can think of is Rafi from the League
>Moon w/ sam rockwell
just watched Once upon a time in Venice on hulu w/ goodman and bruce willis, laughed my ass off
my nigga
Oblivion, pretty good
Sicario is not sci-fi.
As long you watch this knowing the aliens are a metaphor for kikes, it's a very redpilled scifi
there should be a scifi movie where people who use the word "kike" get fucked in the ass by tentacle monsters.
GITS was bad, but the anime is obviously top tier, ARISE is probs one of my favorites
Don't know what you mean, 1995 ova? cuz youre wrong, but rock on
if you're talking about the manga, fucking fight me
Thunderbolt
Glad I'm not the only one who liked this movie.
No, the Scarlett Johannson movie
Blade runner (1 and 2049)
Arrival
Annihilation
Primer
2001 Space Odyssey
Inception
Interstellar
Akira
Ex machina
Matrix (1 only)
Ghost in the shell (anime version)
Multi passss
Interstellar is pretty good, but its dumb ending should keep it off of everyone's "best" lists.
Shawshank Redemption
Titanic
>Interstellar
Matthew McConaughey mumbles for 2 hours, then gets stuck behind a bookcase.
Ebin,
hard to top blade runner 2049
yeah. fucking kip thorne nobel physicist advises then they try tie up the whole plot with a retarded story about being in a hypergalactic extra dimensional bookshelf built by super advanced aliens. fuck that movie
>Outland with 80s(?) sean connery
Worth a view.
Name a more criminally underrated film.
Andromeda Strain
Battlefield Earth
0/10 bait
Don“t watch this boring overrated shit, you will regret.
Skyline
Once Kelvin actually gets into space, Russian Solaris is incredible
How the absolute fuck was this any good
Fuck yeah I'd forgotten about this
also, getting high and watching Gravity was thrilling
and Battle: Los Angeles was bad plot bit good action, and the pulse-jet baddies were boner inducing for me, so cool seeing that sort of propulsion system realized
pic semi unrelated i just wanna post more Seburo
Solid movie that deserves to be called a classic.
Misquoted this I'm sure.
My list is pretty much the same except switch out
Arrival for Contact
Ex Machina for Transcendence
Haven't seen annihilation yet, but think I will like it.
I'd add Fifth Element and Dark City in there too.
Underrated? It's 8.1 on imdb.
infinity chamber
loved that fucking movie
was pretty awesome when it first came out.
moon is great
always
awesome, but seriously dated and weird. I think you maybe have to really like Dune to like it
really liked inception
>Akira is must-see, but sadly a bit dated
still need to see it
fifth element is fun
I'll add
>Gataga
>Alien 1 and 2
>12 monkeys
>Children of Men
>Brazil
>Edge of Tomorrow ( can't believe I liked it b/c I hate tom cruise
>Close Encouters... it's dated as fuck though. Close Encounters is to Every UFO Movie the same way that The Godfather is to every Mafia Movie Ever
Let there be LIGHT!
>Edge of Tomorrow ( can't believe I liked it b/c I hate tom cruise
same same
cube
the only one
coherence
equilibrium is stupid but way fun. Gun Katta bitches.
Shit this move is as old as the matrix. I feel fucking old.
Can't believe I forgot the movies you listed. All excellent ones.
parallels
yeah I had to look at a top movies list to remember them all.
frequently asked questions about time travel
I know what you mean. I think I just love and watch so much sci fi, it's hard to remember them all. Even harder to pick a top few.
reset
PHASE IV is fucking awesome. It seems a bit dated at first, but give it a bit of patience and it really pays off. Only problem is the theatrical version (which is the only one I can seem to find) doesn't have the intense psychedelic ending that directors cut had.
the cloverfield paradox
otherlife
the signal
Nice.
I totally forgot about that one.
revolt
A few faves that I haven't seen mentioned:
Snowpiercer
The Thing (John Carpenter's)
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (Great Sci-fi, shitty FF)
Species
Dredd
Predator (Predator 2's a bit crap but Predators is "okay")
Push
