I also have this problem with Earth 2 on my phone. My iPod classic is able to amplify the signal a lot more so I still use it for noise, drone, ambient etc

My headphones have pretty good sensitivity, but most times I listen from my laptop, it has a higher range of volume. Just makes me a little butthurt that my phone can't project that volume too.
