As someone who shilled hard for this movie when it came out and everybody was bashing it, I gotta admit that after re-watching it a few times the story doesn't really hold up well.
Visually, it's a masterpiece. No argument here. Snyder has always been good at this kind of stuff. The fights, all of them, are good. Directed very well.
But the plot really drags on.
Also I reconsider my former stance on Luthor: his character is really, really bad. The stutter, the quotes, everything... meh.
I thought it was hot garbage but I recently saw Suicide Squad and I appreciate it much more
Julian Gray
Sums it up pretty well OP, all style, no substance
Nathan Jones
Zack "Kubrick" Snyder
Jordan Evans
The film is legitimately a masterpiece. If you're paying attention you can find some new allusion or reference or parallel shot that reinforces a narrative theme every time you watch it.
I think Snyder is legitimately the only good director doing capeshit.

Where can I subscribe?

>The film is legitimately a masterpiece You do not have the cinematic IQ to make such claims.
Cameron James
It's probably the greatest movie of the year and the best blockbuster in a long time.
Marvel fans know the reality of it and that's why they'll never stop talking about the movie, they subconsciously desire to unravel the film's depths.
Samuel Martin
But all the allegories and symbolism don't do much to the plot. Again, visually is very good. Probably the best superhero movie from this point of view. But adding a Jesus imagery to the movie doesn't make Luthor's plan any less stupid.
Nathaniel Edwards
For any movies mind you. Not just this trashy studio product.
Owen Russell
marvel directors dont have creative control like Snyder does
the kikes behind marvel have an evil agenda
Jackson Young
So it's Tarantino levels of copy paste, except, you know, that Tarantino had some legitimate good ideas and a craft for it.

>le Marvel vs DC company wars Bruh, I've been a long time X-Men and DC fan. Both have good comic books and films. I still heavily dislike MCU flicks and expecially RDJ as Iron Man.
Noah Reed
I honestly don't care about your opinion, I just wanted to shit on you for not liking BvS

>But all the allegories and symbolism don't do much to the plot.
The entire plot *is* an allegory. What's further, the allegory extends all the way back to MoS.
