Turkey used to be a good place before Erdoğan

I've heard from people who used to travel around the world, especially to Turkey, that it used to be a great country before Erdoğan got into power.

Is there any Turkfags who can confirm? I heard it was mostly moderate, and supposedly a model state even 5 years ago.

No, it has always been a held back country initiated with great ideas (such as nationilism and socialism) that were poorly implemented.
In last 20 years time number of illiterates increased in population and this senseless Erdogan came into power after digging his corrupt way in for almost 20 god damn years.
I might say it used to be a better shithole though.

Before those last 20 years, it was a better shithole?

I heard from someone that even 5 years ago it was a better country, probably because it was before the refugee crisis.

society was as much degenerated as of today 5 years ago. Although we host 3 million syrian refugees life in big cities were hardly impacted by them, as far as I can tell from Istanbul.

What `seemingly` better was the economy but everyone was expecting it to collapse. Well it doesn't happen at this rate of taxes in Turkey.

40, 50 years ago Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq were great countries too.

You know what ruined these countries.

Americans

and jews. and their tools were islamic teachings, top kek.

/r/ mandatory Afghanistan Then Vs Now photos, if anyone has them

>tfw commies ruined Afghanistan
>then Muslims ruined it more
>then Jews and Americans ruined it even worse

Baghdad was apparently very beautiful in the 1960s.

>couldn't invade more than 30% of an island against farmers with pitchforks

Never moderate, its founding principles are amazing but previously had to be forced, top down, on the population who always want an Islamic state. Now they are getting one and it is becoming shitter and shitter.

>completely disregarding the fact that the taliban, isis, and the FSA revolted against their own leaders and people
>but it was da americans fault
iirc these people existed before we went in, and were the reason we went in

i dont think we've done much of anything in syria

iran is still doing pretty good

no, it became good only with erdoğan, those who say otherwise are probably infidels who used to run the country without the support of the public. it used to be just like other cucked western countries, they were forcing us the culture of cumskins where being faggot is okay, raping is a big crime, women and men are equal, birth control, abortion etc used to be "normal", but now we have erdoğan, he has the support of %50 of the people(note that turkey has one of the highest participations in elections), country is returning to what it was meant to be, an islamic country that will lead the world again one day.

>Turkey used to be a good place

It was far from great. But it was certainly way better than now. For example wearing hijab was banned in schools, universities, etc. before Erdogan. That shit was fucking awesome.

NO it is not. Alhamdulillah our country is stable more than ever. in 2002 when kamalists ruling turkey, people were poor, can't afford a bread, africa tier-technology acces. but when REIS came along. Turkey become a superpower, We shot down the russian jews. Obama is respectful on REIS unlike kamalist presidents, and our economy is great.
May Allah bless the Reis. he is savior of turkey

>T*rks willingly let a Muslim run their country

Enjoy that Russian annexation

eat shit and die çomar

What happened to us?Feelsbadman.

Eating shit is haram. Alhamdulillah pig eat shits too. kafir westerners eat pig. so westners eat shit basically subhanAllah

>ignore the fact the US government supplied weapons and support to religious zealots

>I don't think we've done much of anything is Syria
wew

>Iran is still doing pretty good
despite us

I feel bad for my Turkbros. Went to Istanbul last year before the terrorist attacks had a great experience!

Too bad your leader is an Islamist

That's like saying you are such a good guy but too bad you have cancer...
