Nice

>tfw only a Gibson™ is good enough
Michael Torres
>dislike Gibson, think myself as a fenderfag >dislike their business model >llike the shapes though >see one used for very cheap >think, why not, can sell later to some fanboy for profit >end up loving it I would never buy them new, but I can't hate the instruments themselves now.
Easton Martinez
but you still a fender guy?
Aaron Campbell
Only the Poorfa/gg/ Bri/gg/ade™ cries about Gibson™. You won't ever find a real player who objects to a good Les Paul.
Luke Jenkins
yeah pretty much
Brayden Williams
Not really, fell out of love with companies, they all have their faults. Guitars and other instruments are worth going dumb for, but not the companies themselves.
Xavier Powell
>You won't ever find a real player who objects to a good Les Paul *blocks your path*
Ryan Walker
Just buyed a Gibson SG Special 2017 for about 860 $ (730 €)
worth buying?
Brandon Sullivan
I was checking them out, from thomann right? I like the configuration, but can't decide between that one and the faded. I wanna get one before they change from rosewood to whatever else comes.
Blake Jackson
*then plays a Gibson™ Les Paul*
Christian Mitchell
>only plays a Gibson when forced to literally guitar rape
Gibson is rape, Fender is consensual sex
Jason Walker
>tfw the mere sight of my Gibson 335® makes the Poorfa/gg/ Bri/gg/ade™ convulse in hysterical tears
Daniel Green
>Only a Gibson is good enough Only chink quality is good enough? You set the bar low
I've been playing guitar for like 10 years but this song makes me want to buy a bass, that dude is putting down some nasty lined
Kayden Foster
>lined Meant lines
Ian Walker
How can someone be this picky?
Jacob Rodriguez
I think guitarists or bassists (same for other instruments) should be acquainted at least with the full range in their respective area of "expertise". So, say, guitars are stringed but tempered instruments, a guitarist imo should know their way around bass and then something higher in pitch than a guitar, so you cover low, middle, and higher registers. Be an expert in one, but get yourself familiar with the "family" of instruments, it helps expand your music.
hey, what is the detailed GG aproved guitar practice routine?
Christopher Lopez
>wake up/be poor >look for garbage ass gear on eBay/craigslist >once every month or so buy some cheap chinkshit >post a pic of it on /gg/ for a couple of weeks >put it in the corner to collect dust with all the other shit I bought >shitpost about nice stuff I'll never own in my entire miserable life >repeat wala
Post your pedal set ups. What do you guys think of mine?
Oliver Wright
retard here, is it possible to learn bass by just using the top 4 strings on my guitar?
like sure it won't sound the same with lighter weight strings or whatever but the same principles apply, right?
Jackson Robinson
You can put bass strings on your guitar
Ryan Walker
4/10
Ditch the ShitiTech and Blaahinger and we'll talk.
Dominic Scott
Yup
Matthew Peterson
Yeah it's possible but the feel is very different due to the gauge of the strings and width of the frets, so the playability will be different.
Also be mindful that on bass you'll generally be playing one note at a time, and that some passing notes you'd think sound good on guitar, would not sound good on bass due to the lower frequency
Michael King
Because it's not obvious that I meant lines, cool it with the autism
Joshua Johnson
>brother is buying a Harley Benton LP clone Do I need to talk him out of it?
Jayden Jackson
It is your moral resposibility to do so
Hudson Baker
Yeah but he's been playing for over a decade while I've only been at it for a few months so I feel a distinct lack of authority to talk him out of it.
Landon Kelly
needs more reverb
Sebastian Powell
If you don't, you'll end up in hell. He should know better
Ryder Sanchez
got reverb in the amp
Parker Ortiz
yes Thomann
this one in particular is out of stock now, I think I bought the last one
Andrew Howard
Do you use it as a volume or expression pedal?
Luis Watson
>Ditch the ShitiTech and Blaahinger and we'll talk If I need to ditch them, then I will need other OD pedals to replace them. Any suggestions? Also, these are the only two pedals that I got for free from friends.
Aaron Sullivan
i like condor guitars
Josiah Sullivan
>Any suggestions? Replace the Behringer with the pedal it's cloning, the Boss Blues Driver. Replace the Digitech with the Ibaninez Tube Screamer >these are the only two pedals that I got for free You get what you pay for
Ryan Rodriguez
Welp, guess it'll be the faded b stock then.
Lucas Peterson
I'd say the bad monkey can be kept, but yeah I'd go Blues Driver instead of the Behringer, or get a Soul Food, and you can stack Soul Food and Bad monkey to punch nicely.
Gavin Robinson
you like it without condom in your ass
Cooper Miller
Not unless he can afford anything better, Harley Benton is one of the best brands you can buy for the price
Jose Reyes
yes convince him to buy an ibeenhad LP 1980 "lawsuit era" instead
Benjamin Gonzalez
Why didn't anyone reply to the OP? clairo is a top qt
Brayden Phillips
>There are people in this thread who unironically think American made guitars are inherently superior to Japanese guitars
Thomas Price
>inherently No
But they usually are better
Jaxon Ramirez
guys what is wrong with this guitar?
Henry Lopez
I don't see the problem here. What's wrong?
Blake Garcia
The major US guitar brands have been garbage lately though. Maybe even for over a decade. Every American Standard Strat I've tried has been shit. And don't get me started on Gibson holy shit. Aside from maybe the 2016 T series.
Camden Flores
for starters that guitar have rusty strings which is no bueno.
Justin Phillips
the bridge part of e string looks weird and it is hard to play cords with e string
Aiden Carter
Oh. You just have to rotate the saddle a little. You'll have to slack the string or take it off. Looks like you should change strings as they look pretty worn down
Xavier Perez
high e is off
Andrew Moore
>the only American brands are Fender and Gibson Go away
Colton Harris
the intonation screws are missaligned
Parker Jenkins
Looks like you'll have to adjust/rotate it with an umbraco. Also, still change your strings
Colton Mitchell
string buzz one high e string is actually touching the pickup lower the pickup first then adjust saddle hight
Benjamin Ramirez
Caline Pure Sky. $30 Timmy clone. Sounds exactly like a Timmy because it literally is a Timmy, electronically, except for boost/cut knobs instead of cut only knobs and it's missing the diode selector. It's a transparent overdrive, meaning it doesn't change the tone when the tone knobs are at 12 O'Clock. It's true bypass and the OD is smooth as silk. I've owned all the pedals being suggested here, Blues Driver, Tube Screamer, Soul Food, and this $30 Chinkshit pedal blows them all away. I'm dead serious. Get two and stack them.
Jaxon Flores
brb changing but i still don't understand how am i going to adjust the bridge
Isaac Green
Don't change them until you've fixed the saddle. Adjusting after putting on new strings may fuck up the strings
Landon Hall
>Usually Maybe in a world where Gibson isn't the biggest guitar manufacturer
Chase Miller
no you cant
Jaxson Cox
I haven't seen anyone play a Gibson in the wild in like 8 years.
I suggest you stop jamming at Guitar Center and go to some shows.
Josiah Lee
it looks good without strings do you think i can adjust the saddle or should i get help?
That video is useful, yeah. All you need is to adjust the saddle until both sides are balanced
Henry Garcia
Hey maybe you guys could help me. I'd appreciate it
Jeremiah Reyes
oh fuck i got it now there is little screw things on the saddle.
hope i can find something to turn them thank you
Adam Wilson
No problem
Justin Gutierrez
lol I learned bass using a busted guitar that only had 4 strings and was downtrend to all fuck
Anthony Ortiz
lookin good now i have to adjust it while properly
Anthony Fisher
the e string came out rusty from the package
Bentley Wilson
how to git gud at sweep picking and arpeggios
Joseph Nelson
...
Austin Martin
now tap the harmonic of the 12 fret high e must sound e
Zachary Scott
Reminder that your guitar will sound better if you intonate the 3rd fret to the 15th fret or the 5th fret to the 17th fret rather than intonating the open string to the 12th fret.
Jaxson Jones
you will sound even better if you actually practice instead of seeking shortcuts
Luke Jackson
>Major
Do you know what this word means?
Julian Jackson
I'm looking for the word "major" in this post that I was replying to
Can you find it?
Juan Bailey
>PRS, Ernie Ball, Taylor, Collings, etc. the list goes on and on in quality american manufacturing . you're just a retard is all no biggie
Joseph Hall
>gold top >not minibuckers or p90s >vomits in mouth
my fender jaguar is making every noise possible. I'm thinking of selling it but it feels great to play. Are the Mastery bridge/vibrato really necessary, and helpful? They're kinda pricey so I don't really want to drop that much just for something that wont fix the bridge buzz and vibrato rattle
