We already have an existing border. This is just an upgrade. What makes this so so bad it needs to be "stopped"? Clearly, the money is there. We spend much more on bigger bullshit in this country.

But once the hospital or school is built it must be run and filled with employees. There must be a need for the teachers in this place or enough people to run a hospital (which in general is much harder to find than building the hospital).

The issue with immigration is generally related to low education jobs. If a mexican doctor wishes to go work in the US, he probably will be able to, with or without the wall.

Not to mention that any kind of immigration, especially illegal, will carry some drugs and crime with it as well. Doctors and lawyers have a hard time immigrating and typically would not be illegally crossing the border, those crossing the border illegally would likely be impoverished and hence bearing a higher liklihood of crime and drugs

1) It won't stop illegal immigration. At best, it will slow it down.
2) It won't lower crime. Drugs will still get here, and Mexico isn't sending all the rapists and thugs up here. Illegal immigrants as a whole tend to obey the law more than us Americans because they fear deportation.
3) Trump and the GOP know both. They're using the wall to transfer tax dollars to their business cronies and let their foolish base feel like something good was done.
