But this is mostly just a cover - the reality is that these are preparedness drills for not just hybrid warfare operations like in Ukraine, but ALSO against the reality of an EU army which will move to "keep the peace" in the case of a Polish attempt to withdraw.

With Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe surrounded, Russia will just isolate them. Poland will have to submit to Russia after some years without a single shot fired in Poland.
Germany would be by far the most difficult target. We actually have solid defence plans and material. Shilling against the capabilities and ridicule of the Bundeswehr are just there to break German will to actually fight. Having material and plans is worth shit without having the people to operate (on) it.
