Remember, these are oral histories passed down through generations before they were written down and translated from hebrew to latin to english. Even the religious revivalists I talked with a number of years ago were not moralists. Morally rigid Christians are something I've only encountered very rarely.
But I do think that revivalist Christians are the worst types. Trying to force some religious rebirth on everybody when the energy for it isn't there.
There is debate among them as to if it's an abomination or not, but yes, modern Christians are hipsters who believe in moral subjectivity.

In what, Leviticus? That code of conduct the Jews had to follow while they wandered around the desert? Yeah, they couldn't afford to have any gays, they needed to produce as much offspring as they could.
And besides, Jesus' death was to repeal the old covenant. That was the whole point, to open salvation up to everyone. If anything, christians (should) be more tolerant of gays than jews or muslims based on this.
Leviticus also banned the use of oxen and asses at the same time to plow fields, but no one really cares about that part anymore.

Classic Christian art looks like this, you fucking retard. The Greeks and the Romans had pretty much perfected anatomically correct art, and Christians threw all of that out the window. They didn't start making great art again until the renaissance, when they started copying the old (pagan) Greek and Roman techniques.
Once again, the best Christian art is stolen from pagan art. Learn your art history.
