Didn't like the TALsounds thing a ton but everything else has been pretty interesting

++Beefheart, Suicide, Brave Little Abacus
+American Football 1 (still a good album but it has been hurt by all the basic indie that it has influenced), Don Cab, Neil Young, Art Bears

I like the new Kind Gizz album more than I thought I would

++Lift to Experience, Mount Eerie, DJ Shadow, Swans, Sun Kil Moon
+Comus, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldman

Smartass.

Henry Cow's fucking classic. Ever listen to Massacre?
I keep seeing Polkadot Stingray everywhere. I should definitely check them out.
I will never get why people suck Lift to Experience's dick so much. It sounds interesting for like 5 minutes and then just goes into this Godspeed-tier mediocrity.
Those Eels albums gives me real middle school flashbacks. Great stuff.
>best Dead Kennedys album
nice
I can't get into Midori outside of Aratamemashite. That album's just so tight and all their other stuff feels really one note and half baked

+AFB, Genesis
~AFB LP2

+Dead Kennedys

I can't get into beefheart. Sometimes I wonder if people force themselves to like it.

For TMR I basically just listened to it repeatedly until I liked it. It wasn't like something I didn't like, but it was just so preposterous to me that it kept me coming back to it out of curiosity. I constantly chase trying to find sounds that are foreign to me, and although the time that I got into TMR was largely before I began to embrace this practice, this is essentially what kept me captivated by it.
I remember hating Beefheart's voice more than anything at first, and the music was confusing and hard to "listen" to in a way that I could take something away from, but I felt like there was something there I wasn't seeing and I just kept wanting to see it.

I dig Eels, just solid music

+Refused, Television

How is the new King Griz?

+Sigur Ros, Swans, Lift to Experience

Listen to Buffers Guide to the Flight Deck by Flotation Toy Warning
For me its been a pretty slow week. I liked Hiss Spun (not on here I think) and I heard some really cool Mandre Music

Reccs welcomed

Have you heard the new Open Mike Eagle yet? I still dont know what I think about Show Me the Body yet

Is the new Grizzly Bear any good?

+Devo, Beach Boys, Julien Baker, St. Vincent

++++ Built to Spill
++ Hotelier
+LCD Soundsystem, Crying, Kanye

I think it was a solid effort by the band, Its a lot less "experimental" but it is a consistant album with some strong high points.

WMD, BALAM ACAB, EUPHLORIA OST, SYRA
RIP LIL PEEP
Nice. Pinegrove?

Looking for trunk knockers pls

+Kanye, Hotelier, Mountain Goats, Built to Spill

what's up with the papa roach album

shit, i've been to a sold out remo drive show at (the--sadly now defunct--triple rock) and a packed house show. they put on a good show. the albums not as good, though, imo.

i've seen japanese breakfast 4 times now.

I think I've heard a tricot song before, they were alright.

If you've listened to it, would you recommend Surfing by Mike Oldfield?

+Guernica
Try Yapoos or Halmens.

+++Devo
XTC - Drums and Wires is similar.

+Cornelius
Listen to Flipper's Guitar - Camera Talk, or Metafive - Meta if you want something more modern with Cornelius.

+Kraftwerk
If you haven't already, listen to to Yellow Magic Orchestra - Solid State Survivor

+Jun Togawa
Try Susumu Hirasawa - Water in Time and Space

+Gary Numan
