New things coming soon I hope. I had some WIP tracks happening before I shifted to full time work but I might be getting some time off soon.

I've been taking voice recordings for years and decided to start making something with all this material.
Love this. I'm curious on the song Distorted did you borrow the descending line from Nick Drake's Pink Moon?
I'm curious where you get all your noises/field recordings from. Do you use a microphone or just download sounds from the web? I think a lot of your songs paint a very clear image and scene. On the song "Wet Summer Evening" it is a little distracting and strange sounding when the time just resets when that certain sample comes in. I also think the song ends too quickly with that fade. There is some weird time stuff in Sapphire Nights too. In general I think you could develop better stories with some of these songs, don't be stuck to just one idea.

sort of new to recording and band camp. I'm up for criticism. I don't do vocals cos I don't really have a good voice.
i lurk these threads but never post my own stuff because I don't make it, but I want you guys to know, whether you're bout to post or are checking for any replies, you guys are all really impressively talented and I hope that you get whatever you hope to get out of doing this.
>folk and super cozy instrumental tracks
I like the feel of this recording, was this recorded on tape then converted to digital?
>bjornbols.bandcamp.com
thanks, i just use a vibrato pedal and mic my amp into a zoom r24 and mastered the tracks on it. I havent really tried using a computer/daw but regardless its digital.
really digging hypostases, keep it up. what do you use to record?
I use a zoom h2n for 2 guitar improvs with my friend and then an Audio Technica AT2020 for recording individual things, it's a pretty rough and unorthodox set up but it get's the job done. I liked your first track I look forward to hearing more!

Everything about this tells me that you need to drop BM altogether and do goth rock instead. The chord progressions are nice but not nearly cold/evil enough for BM. The song titles are poetic and stuff but on a BM album they come off as super gay. And the bass/rhythm guitar have more things going on than the main guitar (that drowns out every other instrument in the mix) and the drums don't do anything speedy and intense at all and the vocals are inaudible.
Turn down the screechy guitar, focus on the bassline and the rhythm, put some angsty post-punk vocals in there, turn up the percussions with some reverb on the snares, and re-record the whole album as a goth rock album. Right now it's just some really mediocre atmoblack bordering on atmoshit. Metal in general needs to be badass (even if it's very ambient atmoblack) and I'm not getting that from your album.

I probably subconsciously did yea
That's awesome, quoting is such a great way to build your own ability. Not to beg, but did you have any thoughts on my project?
pretty good rawks but it's not that complicated, really, just proggy
not very exciting either except when it goes weird and discordant, but great as background music
track 4 is the best by far
it's kinda lame in execution but it borders on new wavish so it has potential. Please make it bolder, especially the percussions and the vocals, they sound wimpy.
now gimme a spin
This thing needs to have more balls. Sounds weird saying that about a shoegaze record but really. Also don't start anything with a cover...start on your own two feet.
lmao this fucker has been posting this lame ass album in this band camp thread for years now

I like it, you can build a nice atmosphere. I don't really listen to much ambient music but it's cool, good work
