The god-tier Ween album

>most mature and experimental without sounding too weird like GodWeenSatan or Pure Guava
>accessible but not too safe like white pepper
>has their best songs ever "Alcan Road" "Tried & True" "Transdermal Celebration" "Zoloft" "Among His Tribe"

The Mollusk is their best by a long shot. Even Deaner and Gene think so.

>too weird like GWS or Pure Guava

It's better overall artistically but I'd argue Quebec aged better and has more replay value. The only songs that are better on Mollusk are Mutilated Lips and the title track

They both have some great songs but have a lot of filler too and some very deliberately odd choices that haven't aged well tbqh

Quebec definitely has the broadest appeal of any Ween album but I'd hesitate to call it their best.

this

The best Ween albums are Pure Guava and Chocolate & Cheese. How can anything on Quebec compare to the live sensations spawned by Big Jilm.

Quebec is the Ween album for people that don't really like Ween

>Among His Tribe
I was there the first time they played that live

The Pod is better

I'll never understand the elitism Ween fans have against the post Pure Guava album.

...

I really liked quebec when I first got into ween but I think I like it less every time I listen, the alt-rock pastiches just end up sounding too close to Foo Fighters or something to be funny, and the "brown" jokey songs are just forced compared to the genuine stoned out of their minds shit on the first couple albums

>implying so many people in the neighborhood isn't the best brown song ween wrote

This. It’s their In Rainbows.

As someone who doesn't really like Ween, gotta agree. "I Don't Want It" is a great ca. 1969 Beatles track.

It really isn't. Even Molly, Boing, Sarah, and Blackjack are better in my opinion.

I want to love Quebec but it just doesn't grab me, apart from I Don't Want It, Transdermal Celebration and uh, one of the moody tracks. It's just not as inspired as the Mollusk.

Quebec is my favorite Ween album but fuck you I love most Ween albums

I really like Quebec and dislike most of their work so I agree.

This.

No.

The Mollusk > The Pod > Chocolate & Cheese > Pure Guava > 12 GCG > GWS > Quebec > White Pepper > La Cucaracha

Quebec is truly a masterpiece. It captures such a specific, unique mood and I enjoy it more and more literally every single time I listen to it. The way each song is so different from the next yet it all feels connected is awesome.
