Isn't piracy good for the sake of music quality?
When has an artist ever put out better music after becoming rich off album sales? They always get less and less creative since musicians write better music when they're starving

no. if they just keep starving forever they give up, or take another job so they have less time to do it. good job
definitely in the best interest of art consumers to keep the artists in endless struggle

There's always more amateur musicians willing to starve
Piracy is good especially for starving people because it gets the music out to more people who otherwise wouldnt've bought it.
This idea that artist become worse with age or success is a shitty meme desu.

What do you mean?
Due to piracy and leaks Nas released I am... and Nastradamus sooooo not always
What's wrong with I am... and Nastradamus?
Music is subjetive.
If musician are starve they probably just gonna spam their shitty music and manipulate the stats so they can adquire fame. You are not enjoying this artist, you are being manipulated.
>paying for music
>paying for any piece of media
good proles
Quit trying to justify pirating.
I do it, but in a world where everybody pirated, music wouldn't even exist in a consumable format.
Just accept you're an asshole and move on
No, it's not good for music at all. Without physical reward there's no incentive to better one's craft, and it counts here, too. This means less innovation and a lower variety in ideas.
It is good. If you pay for music, you are dumb. If an artist is making anything for a paycheck, it's going to be bad.
>inb4 but artists need to earn money to live!
Its called getting a real job. Not hard to make music after work and on weekends
>If you pay for music, you are dumb.
This.

>It's not like all the money from record sales goes to record labels owned by large corporations rather than musicians themselves. Say no to piracy!
>acting like you're a good guy because you're stealing
duuuhhh criiinnggeie
there are lots of self-publishing musicians out there, lad
It's not piracy, it's filesharing.
Piracy involves ships at sea.
If you like an album you downloaded you should buy it eventually, even better if its on Bandcamp and the money goes to the artist directly.
If you didn't. Fuck it, you saved money by knowing it was shit beforehand.
>If you like an album you downloaded you should buy it eventually
why?
Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Fishmans, Justin Timberlake, technically Neutral Milk Hotel as well. Really, most artists who have a fantastic final record actually qualify for this.
