Share recordings heavily influenced by drugs and/or other substances. Also share whatever you want but that's what I'm gonna post anyway. Even better if you can state what was exactly the musicians were on. We're gonna assume all musicians smoke pot so that doesn't count. Heavy boozing does.
Yall can check the last thread for the etiquette. I'll start us out
Ok I think I shared this before but I'm gonna post again while other stuff uploads.
John Martyn - Solid Air / One Word / Probably a third album in there not sure? (pretty much everything, he''s confirmed coke, heroin/opium, acid, heavy booze, and weed at least) >Hard to describe. Equal parts jazz/folk/blues influence with this silky smooth sedated quality. The weed and opiates carry through most into his sound, whereas you can clearly see the influence the lsd had on his songwriting and overall approach.
Ok you're right, lots of albums have been made by drug users. There are also more than a few albums that were recorded while high on drugs, and finally there are some drug influenced albums with that successfully communicate through sound something about that drugged state. That's really what I'm after here.

Anyone got a mega link for Utopia? I'm zippyshare-phobic
Its customary in Sharethreads to leave a link to the music, btw.
Austin Watson
Sup Forumscore right here God fucking damn this is good, if you haven't listened to this album, you have no business on this website.

Tomasz Stańko & Andrzej Kurylewicz - Korozje >European Free Jazz, collab between Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stańko and composer (usually film scores revolving around his general Big Band stuff) Andrzej Kurylewicz
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request 1996 (everything: grass, booze, opiates (mostly heroin), stims, dis, magical consicoussness-expanding tryptamine, love, and especially lots of JESUS)
>Garage psychedelia, sometimes with weird fucking chinese shit
No idea if this was made under the influence, but I'll share it anyways. The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers >320 >blues rock, one of Jack White's projects mega.nz/#F!N2pEgS5Z!rw59ekRsyG6-Sjw_b7RjeA
The Desert Sessions - Vol. 1 & 2 >FLAC >trippy desert rock, lots of the songs made in the Desert Sessions would end up in other Josh Homme projects, especially QotSA "The first Desert Session was not actually a "session" per se, but Homme and his band at the time (The Acquitted Felons) playing for three days straight on psychedelic mushrooms." mega.nz/#F!IzwyBZqQ!huIEeLRhVQNEDyjcI0gucA
Oh, and y'all probably noticed it already, but rebeccablack is dead. For everyone.

Transatlantic - The Whirlwind [320] >Transatlantic is a progressive rock supergroup, formed by (ex-)members of Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, The Flower Kings and Marillion, which broke up in 2002 and reunited in 2009 to write and record this 77-minute masterpiece. www8.zippyshare.com/v/UKA9B8K9/file.html

Earlier last week a kind user shared some music I requested from him, including The Holydrug Couple, Spiritualized, Spacemen 3, Wooden Shjips and Novalis.
If you're in this thread, please give me an email adress to wich I can send the Goblin, Turtles and Psychic Ills albums that you requested in return: I've tried to post the links here countless times, but no matter what I do, the system thinks my post ist spam.
Tyler Moore
post to pastebin plz
also do you have the psychic ills album with the helicopter on it?
Carson Taylor
Oh hey bud, that's me OP. I gave up hope on you and grabbed most of that stuff off soulseek actually, sorry for the trouble. Where are you uploading? Usually the spam filter only kicks in if you use a link-shortener.
Camden Fisher
Uploading to Yandex. Used a link shortener. Sorry for taking so long, broke my midfoot and prior to that I had to work nonstop. Do you still need any of the albums? I have some Turtles, Goblin and I guess all Psychic Ills albums in 320k mp3 quality. As for the rest you requested, I only have the same albums you already got.
John Collins
Those are the Psychic Ills albums I have, none of them shows a helicopter on the cover though.
Charles Allen
I would just do this if it's all uploaded already Here's what I went and got so I'd take anything else not mediocre
>serbian comedy rap, experimental hip hop >one of serbia's most influential rappers, this album is way more bat-shit insane than his early work >pink guy fans might enjoy this
Neil Young (Heroin. I don't know if Neil did heroin, but other bandmates and friends definitely did. Through them, heroin had an enormous impact on Neil's music during this era. Neil was also on a looot of pot back then.
Ok this one's not drug related but I literally just found it as I was going through my backlog (gotta catch up before net neutrality goes down the shitter). Anyway here you go I was blown away

The Elephant 6 Collective (Psychedelics)
This is all incredible music from incredible people who all took lots of acid. This stuff is all somewhere on the indie/psych/pop/rock/folk spectrum with some experimental stuff in there as well. All in V0 or better
The Olivia Tremor Control (Discog. Dusk At Cubist Castle / Explanation II / Black Foliage / Singles And Beyond) >still psych pop but with heavier experimental and noise elements, great sound engineering mega.nz/#!GN5lCAhB!cVvcm64fCNxCizmD9LHB6KGWd1HjqtxlFM89gn7DJTw
Julian Koster / The Music Tapes (Discog. 1st Imaginary Symphony For Nomad / For Clouds And Tornadoes / Mary's Voice / The Singing Saw At Christmastime) >folkier and more experimental, windy ethereal sound, liberal use of singing saw. Julian is my favorite indie rock/pop, the zaniest and most arty of all these groups, they've released a lot of solid material and some really fucking catchy songs mega.nz/#!fMJg0DzB!tt8-ARufk5utoEiv9GJEBDRt4xDMgss486rZZQU8vus youtube.com/watch?v=8QcL4Pge8D4 youtube.com/watch?v=f3RAI8Ntamw
