Headphones Discussion

So what headphones do you guys use for listening to your music?

Unfortunately my good ones broke last year and since I didn't want to buy high quality headphones for my semester abroad in China, I decided to get some cheap Sony MDR in-ears which managed to stay alive to this very day.

Been thinking about getting pic related (Sony MDRZX310) as on-ears for using them at home because I'm currently a studentfag on a budget and because I can't find any significant headphones which are cheap in price with a good build.

Sony momentum 2.0, on sale for mad cheap on amazon rn too

>using headphones
Enjoy your tinnitus

was going to cop but I've heard they're uncomfy as fuck. Got the Sennheiser Momentum M2 instead and they're great

As much as these have been memed, I've had mine for 2 years and I still love using them. They fit so perfectly around my ears and they sound stellar. Best 200 bucks I've ever spent.

Never had a chance to compare, but I bought one for my self and one for my mother, they both sound perfect. I pair them with Fio A3 headphone amp.

Aren't uncomfy at all. i can sit with them on all day no problem.
I have the first momentums...they were pretty good too. Honestly nothing compares to the PM-3s tho

I need headphones for sound mixing and I'm looking into audio technicas. The thing is theres a lot and varying prices, what's the recommended one??

I use the HD800s. Got a schiit tube amp and DAC with it too. Is it worth the $2,400 I spent on the set up? well kinda but headphones have diminishing returns. The really high end stuff is better but not by miles. I really like the set up though, I recommend it if you got the money

The picture turned around all weird, here is a better one

do they sound as good as people say?

>hd800
>schiit
>schiit tube amp
>bose companions
hahahhahahha

I really like them. they are really precise. really make any type of music sound good.

this is why I hate the headphone community. Always someone being rude

What's the difference between tube amp and modern design amps?

Well I had A solid state amp with my old headphones the HD650s. The difference between tube and solid state is solid state has better base most of the time and a more precise sound. So solid state is better if you like listen to electronica, rap, and other base heavy types of music. Tube amps make a warmer sound to the music, rounding the edges if that makes sense. It's kind of hard to describe but if you hear it, if makes sense. Tube really goes good with rock, classical, indie, and other stuff like that.

I just bought these.
I'm happy.
