Slooooow Doooown!

Metallica reload, enough said

>"Hey David, it's Trent... I don't know if I can pull off this whole image transformation thing"

op is trolling us

It wasn't that bad of a year, it was just one of those weird transitional years for pop culture. It was like the bridge between the mid-90s (ie gangster rap, grunge radio rock) and the late 90s (nu metal, pop punk, teen-pop etc)

>tfw you're acting too fucking weird for David Lynch.

Hey thats the year i was borned

97 was good, I think 1998 was the last good year for music, all went downhill from there..

CHOKIN ON THE BADDD SEEEEED
god what a shitpile

I liked Perfect Drug era Trent

I'll tell you what, 1997 was easily the worst fucking year of my life. I graduated from middle school and thought things would be better in High School. It took less than two weeks in my freshmen year to become the person that everyone fucked with. Twenty fucking years later it still haunts me and goddamn did it fuck me up emotionally.

Why are you spouting such an ignorant opinion?

>OK Computer
>good
Lal.

same

fuck you OP

...

What's bad about it?

Britney and Christina killed the 90s.

the 90s was literally the best decade for metal other than the 2010s, fuck outta here.

Unless you mean 98 and 99, then yeah those years were ass. But that's made up for the fact that bleep stuff was amazing. The 90s were amazing fuck off my dude.

>Unless you mean 98 and 99, then yeah those years were ass

99 had Tonight The Stars Revolt though.

It really wasn't that great. Just surrounded by snotty students who listened to Britpop because it was ironic and mocking the past, the birth of chavs, endless revivals, 'girl power', Spice Girls up your ass...etc

>cherrypicking

7.5/10 troll, you got me.

Picking the best hip-hop album is like picking the best dog turd from the city park.

>(You)
>>ignoring 90s neofolk
Yeah, where would we be without Death In June and Current 93?
>>ignoring the post industrial scene
Cybergoths sucked.
>>ignoring all the metal classics
Yeah burning churches and stabbing people, great stuff, real intelligent.
>>ignoring the height of metalcore, sludge metal, and post hardcore
lol wtf nobody was listening to that shit then
>>ignoring some of the best techno and house records ever
Pity you couldn't buy them anywhere, you were forced to buy mixes with MCs rapping over them all.
>>some of the best hip hop albums ever
Maybe if you were black.
>>oh but le brit pop was a thing
It was, it was everywhere, you couldn't m escape it.

Btw, the 80s sucked too.

That's all anyone saw or heard about, it was rammed down your throat.

>the 90s was literally the best decade for metal other than the 2010s
Bringing us such gems as Load/Reload, Risk, and all of Pantera's tough guy biker bullshit.

movies in 1997 were comparatively worse also. Coincidence?

It had a good send off.

What music do you listen to friend? You seem pretty narrow minded.

>80s sucked too
>some of the best ambient albums ever, peak of thrash, old school industrial, amazing synthpop/new wave/darkwave
The reality is there is no best decade and no one seriously thinks there is except for newfags who aren't in on the meme.

>lol wtf nobody was listening to that shit then
Incorrect.

>no pop
didn't spice girls' s/t came out in 97?

Late 96, but "Wannabe" was released as a promotional single months before the album.

Literally the best year for music in the past 30 years
