One of the things I like about Joanna's music (particularly M-EM and Ys) is her rhythm. And I was disappointed when I found out her collab with Zach Hill and Greg Saunier was just a fucking noise album. I mean I love noise shit as much as the next guy, but I was really interested in hearing how Joanna's harp playing would work with Zach and Greg and how they'd all compliment each other rhythmically. Instead, we just got two drummers going apeshit through an overly sensitive noise gate, and an occasional harp pluck. Bummer.
