also been to uk before, just going again this year

>countries
>kosovo
wew lad

already have Iceland trip planned
would love to visit Slovenia and Finland as well, but I probably won't have enough money to do it this year

1. Best
Iceland - 10/10 nature
unironically Sweden, but I never went into any bigger cities, so that's probably why

2. Worst
it sucked in UK, since it was the first time I ever saw roaches inside a house
but apart from that, don't really have one either, I guess the host family was just poor

Oh God I hate these regions in some countries. Shitholes like Croatia for example shouldnt be so detailed

optimistic plan for this year

What did you like about Sweden?

Idk man some of your regions are distinct enough to warrant having their own zupanje.
Krapinsko Zagorska for example is way different than Varazdinsko despite being right next to each other.

In any case, it's just a first-level administrative subdivisions map, and for Croatia that's the zupanje.

...

comfy countryside, good food,
people were really nice in general

>Best
Marseille, France, memes and arabs aside, probably the comfiest city I've ever been to.
Belek and Alanya resorts in Turkey, cheap food and alco, nice beaches. That's basically all that I need on vacations.
>Worst
None.
Planning a Trip in Iceland one day but I didn't think it would happen soon cuz i do not have enough money to do all that shit this year.

Fug I forgot to add Egyptian and Thai resorts

>best
Monaco was amazing and surprisingly not that expensive (probably because I went in February).
Skiing in Monte Lussari (border between Austria, Italy and Slovenia) was also top tier.

>worst
Don't really know

>Marseille, France
The old port was great, but I felt the city was quite dirty.

imho pic related is far than enough for Croatia. Far better than Županije, but yeah, you'll never satisfy everyone

Its better than my thread picture for sure. for example, Barcelona doesnt represent the whole Spain, but its painted as a whole

>Planning a Trip in Iceland
>no money
same here bro :( its my dream place to visit
take me with you you lucky piece of shit

>not that expansive
how much did you pay for a night?

>implifications in which I have the required financial assets to travel

Never been abroad. I don't really care much about foreign countries.

money shouldnt be such a big excuse in modern times

hitchhike and search for couchsufring hosts. Hostels are also very cheap
and stop being a faggot

I stayed in Nice, but I'm mainly talking about food and that sort of stuff. The prices weren't that different from other cities in France, while I was expecting something absurd.

I'd recommend you to do the same if money is a problem. Stay in a hostel in Nice and take a train or rent a car.

I was already there for a day with my class trip when we were going to Barcelona
I dont have much intentions to go back desu

I went during the carnival and enjoyed it. Probably wouldn't have much to do outside of it, though.

>hitchhiking
not in turkey
>couchsurfing
would they take an awkward ugly virgin with a voice too thick?

Just back from Croatia actually and I got horrendous food poisoning

Thanks

>not in Turkey
why? I met people on couchsurfing from Turkey that hitchike there a lot
>would they take an awkward ugly virgin with a voice too thick?
of course, people will feel safe taking such a pathetic loser under their roof
not kidding

shit man, what did you eat?

i am poor and never been outside of this shithole

Dunno what or where exactly I got it because my symptoms progressed over several days and we ate in various places.

But yeah the time before that was great

That Kosovo on the map

best: serbia, shit felt like home
worst: none never really had any particularly bad experiences

Too scared to use hostels. Rather save up for a nice hotel.

been only to greece and norway
no plans for future, rather, i wana see rome, north italy, the ardennes and the bovington tank museum in my life, thats about it

>best: serbia, shit felt like home
How is that possible?

I went to Serbia and Romania this year and the difference was like night and day lmao.
Serbia may be poorer as far as GDP per capita is concerned but shit looks like Central Europe there, hardly any different from Hungary.
Romania on the other hand looks and feels like bizzaroworld stuck between Ceausescu commie blocks and fundings from Brussels.

Hostels are good, especially when you're travelling alone. Makes it much easier to make friends.

>Serbia may be poorer as far as GDP per capita is concerned but shit looks like Central Europe there
top kek you obviously haven't been on the countryside

well that sounds like a pretty accurate description of Bucharest, and if that's what you're talking about then yeah, fuck that shithole
been to Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara?

I was exclusively in the countryside. The largest town I've been to was Subotica.

Check out my map
Have you been to Romania?

...

Cluj and Timisoara are not exactly Romanian bruh. You know who built those cities.

how'd you like romania?

attention whore threads are the most successful

...

I've been to Timisoara. The old town is alright but frankly, very run-down and tiny compared to the ocean of commie blocks surrounding it.

Don't get me wrong I greatly enjoyed Romania for what it is. The people are hilarious and the nature is stunning but man when I entered your country from the Hungarian border at Satu Mare I was thinking "Yes, this is the Eastern bloc". There's a certain charme to it though.
When I went into Serbia at the Vidin-Negotin border, I felt I got back into Europe.

OOOOOH, you've been to Vojvodina mostly, that explains everything.

well fine then, i see you've been in vojvodina which is the best countryside out of all you could see here. you can visit everything south of it next time if you're interested, and you'll see drastic difference
btw, i live in the most southern city in serbia though and i have never been in romania

I was only in Bucharest for some hours, didn't have time to see much.
But I will definitely visit it again in the future, last year I went to the Baltics, now to Belarus and Ukraine, next will be Romania (and Moldova.)

And they ran it into the ground man. I imagined Transylvanian towns to be better-looking than Wallachia's but the difference is marginal. There's some more old Central European architecture but it's all so poorly maintained that it hardly makes a difference.

so much this

Vojvodina was only half of it. I spent the other half of my time in the districts of Bor, Zajecar, Podunavlje and Branicevo. Vojvodina was very nice yes, but not that much nicer than the non-vojvodinan Serbian territories I went through. Even those are MILES ahead compared to anything you see in Romania. Less trash (still some though), better looking towns, people actually talking care of their backyards, less strays, less gyppos, more civilized dogs, better roads etc.

>and i have never been in romania
You'd be surprised how far ahead you are m8.

Cut them some slack, they had to go through communism and even worse - Ceausescu . They are getting better at an OK pace atm.

economically Romania is way ahead of Serbia and the gap is widening desu. What you see are remnants of Tito's Yugoslavia,

well i suppose yeah, we really made most of our countries during yugoslavia through funds from both USA and Russia, but we stopped from the moment when they did. i suppose in 10 years we'll look like romania now and romania will look as far european as it can

they recently surpassed croatia in gdp
they're recovering slowly but steady, yes

I'm not bullying. Romania is hilarious, had a great time there.

But half of Europe went through communism. That's a poor excuse.

>But half of Europe went through communism. That's a poor excuse.
it's not, since we were the best pseudo-commie country in europe out of all of them
hell it wasn't even communism like in the other countries, it was some form of socialism and the old people generally miss such times because they were good for living and most of them enjoyed it

yugo communism was way different than in other countries... yugoslavs were kings compared to hungary/poland/romania/albania etc

>economically Romania is way ahead of Serbia and the gap is widening desu.

Yeah I know but it doesn't show. The Serbs just seem to be running their country a lot better despite being poorer. Shit looks and feels way more developed than Romania.

well, we do like to live our lives like we're rich despite everything, that i can attest :^)

Yeah I know, Yugoslavia went their own way thanks to Tito.

But still, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Baltic States also experienced 40-50 years of Soviet cucking. And none of them are as bad as Romania.

in your dreams radovan, gulashcommunism, best communism

The economies of the countries prior to ww2 and before the end of communism is also relevant. Also Yugos didn't really had to go through the same shit. The war is what fucked them . I'm from Bulgaria and the way Romania is progressing compared to us is impressive. Mainly the way they tackle corruption. they had a GDP growth of 5,5% last year I think. Maybe you are right, but in a few years things won't be the same.
not rly but u had it good too after the attempted revolution

You that EVN guy?

you're right about that
ceausescu cucked them even harder than soviets, i agree. but the similar situation was in bulgaria and albania though, they're all still recovering from hard dictatorship of their commie leaders

and the fact that central europe always belonged to richer part of the europe through history, while we were under ottoman's booth for ~400 years more or less before that

it was more of a socialism than communism.
actually, not only was it better than the
communism in the rest of europe,it was
betterr for us than the system we have today.

the better architecture, the different mentality,
that little advance that we have compared to
romania, it's all a leftover of socialism. after the
war we haven't built much new, we struggle
even to paint the facades of our glorious
socialist buildings. luckily , it isn't even
necessary, because the buildings are still
top quality

It's been a couple of years since I last went abroad.
I hope to travel some more when I finish my education.

Come to our country and see the villages how good they are preserved. In Hungary you go outside a city and you see the country is 30 years behind.

Croatia is great tbph.
nah

>I'm from Bulgaria and the way Romania is progressing compared to us is impressive.

I also went to Bulgaria this year and from what I have seen it does seem to be even somewhat worse off than Romania. But I've only been to the Northwestern part of the country which isn't exactly one of the most prosperous regions of the country as far as I know, kek. Kozloduy is unironically the ugliest fucking city I've ever seen, which merits a visit in its own way.

you can't live only from beautiful nature and tourism. bulgaria has just surpassed us in living standard

best:
netherlands: baseball tournamenst and we we living in families for 2 weeks, super nice people, still have friends from there

worst:
montenegro: they broke our car window because we refuse to play basketball with them

...

>In Hungary you go outside a city and you see the country is 30 years behind.

Now that's a little harsh.
The Hungarian countryside really isn't that bad. Not quite as tidy and pretty as their Western European (that includes Slovenia) counterparts, granted, but by and large fairly alright. Way closer to, say, Austria's countryside than Romania's.

>Bulgaria has just surpassed us in living standard
kek

What did you think of Yorkshire?

>montenegro: they broke our car window because we refuse to play basketball with them

lmao
greentext?

Croatia is still a couple placements ahead of Bulgaria according to the human development index.

sorry it was romania* but bulgaria is close, and we are the second worst in the eu after bulgaria

this thing

yeah here's hoping Serbia and Macedonia join the EU so people would stop calling us the poorest country in Europe.

whoops, mixed up the "where you're going this year" with "you".

I live in Paris and I might go to Straya in December

>What did you think of Yorkshire?

It was a class trip to Scotland via bus, at least 10 years ago. We stayed in Sheffield for 3 days for what it's worth. I only remember buying a The Sims Complete collection CD for very cheap there which was amazing.
Oh and our homestay was trash. We spent the night in groups in different host families. My group got an obese single mom with her retarded son named LENIN. She'd serve us pizza and french fries EVERY single day for lunch and dinner. Absolutely disgusting.

Sorry to hear that senpai

REMOVE
>turkey I think I'm gonna be sick

serbian savages

Hopefully will be doing this at the end of the year. RIP thousands of dollars

money is nothing compared to the experience you'll have
hope you get to fuck some euro qts

That red country is not in Europe though. It never will be.

That would be good, but I doubt I'll be doing anyone without paying kek

Going back to Germany this year which is why it is striped.

1. Best place - probably Frankfurt. Very clean.

2. Worst place - FLORENCE. FUCK. So fucking dirty. Piss, shit, and vomit EVERYWHERE. Italians are dirty fucking pigs like Indians (I've also been to India and Italy is just as dirty. Fucking gross.)

Yes, I have been to Liechtenstein. It's small but it feels bigger when you're there.

That's all I have to say right now, I guess. I think I forgot to color in Corsica. It's in France but I haven't been to any of those Mediterranean islands.

Most green, apart from rus/bel and south-east balkan. Only did 2-3 day trips on motorcycle tho.
Lived in Londonistan/Amsterdam/Dublin for 1+year each (code monkey).
Best - Austria
Worst - East London (google tower hamlets)

>Best
Austria, nice people, beautiful nature
>worst
England/UK
Terrible culture, awful food

nice paprika pepe
what's that thing in the background janos-kun? it looks like a well

London isn't the UK and wtf were you doing in tower Hamlet's?

>tfw travellet

Best:
Finland - got qt finn bf
Worst
Finland - things didn't work out with bf

in all honesty, I liked all the countries but I spent far longer in Finland, and really enjoyed getting to know the history, the people, learning some of the language, etc. All countries were great, although in Stockholm people were kind of creepy (I did visit northern Sweden too and it wasn't like that), Stockholm had the coolest places to visit but I guess the people there qualify as the worst part of the trip.

Norway was a bit disappointing too, in that the landscapes were great but similar to what I've seen in Chile before anyway.

I want to do a trip around South America soon
