Probably won't even happen but... Kashmir maybe? I don't know much about India and Pakistan, if their relations are thawing or what. Also maybe something African as they develop and have a population boom

The best Korea will try to get its territory back from the worst Korea.

Serbia

world war 3 needs to involve relevant countries. no one is going to risk total war for nobodies wtf

Ukraine?

WWII started in Poland tho

poland then isnt poland now plus its involved fucking germany and soviets

None of those countries are "irrelevant" (except SK)

Conflicts in Ukraine and Syria involve Europe, US and Russia.

India, Pakistan and China together have a population of about 3 billion and China and India are emerging powers. On top of that, India and Pakistan hate each other, and India and China dislike it each other. It's one of the few logical destinations for a WW3 kickstart.

This isn't 1940 anymore. Europe is increasingly becoming irrelevant. In 50 years it'll be Latin America-tier.

there needs to be a direct existential threat to a relevant country. not a fucking proxy war in an dump like ukraine or syria

Learn to read, it's World World 3. They are trying to construct something revolutionary

>India are emerging powers
how long would you say it takes before they become large powers-- a superpower if you will?

This post reads like Council on Foreign Relations copypaste. No, neither of those cunts are displacing Europe and the Anglosphere any time soon.

The top economies by 2050 will be non-European

Why pick a middle date for the start of a war? Either pick the earliest relevant conflict, or the date when all relevant players were officially participating... WWII either started in '31 with the Japanese invasion of China, or in '41 with the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Middle east.

Wars between superpowers are a thing of the past. They will just go on lengthy proxy wars and cold wars.

But if it was to start somewhere it'd be Kashmir because it's the only active dispute between nuclear powers.

China will violently seize control of Taiwan and the entirety of the spratly islands
The US will publicly have little response to this aside from 'strong condemnation' but will fund opposition groups in SEA against sino expansionism
Seeing no public response to one of America's allies being militarily devoured, SKorea and Japan will begin arming themselves, understanding that American isolationism requires a new level of autonomy
At the same time, Russia will continue their support of the Syrian government against the FSA (publicly denounced as terrorists by every neighboring government since the US stopped supporting them)
Turkey, working alongside Syria and Russia, will crush the remnant of the Kurdistan movement
Upon seeing the western powers increasingly obvious military impotence and America's reluctance to being drawn into a drawn out engagement with little public support, China expansion in Africa begins to align with Iranian interests to expand it's power against the Sunni block lead by the Saudis

At this point we have China and Russia successfully defeating the remnants of America's proxy government attempts in the middle east and a failed pivot to Asia

Pretty reasonable set up so far, but what sets off full on war?

Increasing lack of national identity in the west leads to reactionary right wing violent action and a subsequent public hatred for these neo fascists (get real Sup Forums, when one of you guys finally tries to bomb a mosque news coverage and public opinion isn't going to be favorable) leads to an increase in multiculturalism memes and an unwillingness to do anything beyond condemn the expansion of russian and chinese influence over the 3rd world.

The actual conflict will be between islamists, from indonesia, pakistan. and a majority of the north African countries, in conflict with the russians, iranians, syrians, and chinese

Europe will be irrelevant throughout and will have to deal with 10 bazillion refugees after the war ends

When Pakistani militants succeed in a large scale attack on a Chinese urban center the amount of anti-muslim sentiment brewing throughout the conflict will lead to a major purge of China's south western territories and the blooming of a love affair between the stormfront crowd and the Xiaoping boys united by their common contempt for human rights

Corporations employ private military groups and become sovereign entities, Apple goes to war against Sony and McDonald. You heard it here first

>world war 3 needs to involve relevant countries
Yes, but OP asked where it will start. And world wars don't need to start in relevant countries. Poland and Serbia aren't and weren't exactly big players.

Because a world war spans multiple theaters on multiple continents. Japan-China was still local, but Germany and the colonial powers France and UK wasn't.

transnistria if we annex moldova

by that logic, the war definitely started in '31, since China was not sovereign, but a colonial possession of Europeans.

>Europe will be irrelevant in a few years

why can't you guys just let the kurds do their thing
they're basically the most competent group in the region and have their own culture and quasi-state already

Germany, probably some bioweapon from Marburg
