The same way I feel about making Captain America gay, making Thor female, etc. If you want more black/female/gay characters, write more new black/female/gay characters. Stop changing established characters to fit your designs. Black people constantly complain about white-washing and cultural appropriation, but it's totally fine when they paint spiderman black? No, leave spiderman alone, make a new character.
