Tards like gaudy bass. It's really that simple.

why is pizza popular/ it's crap.
you have to actually listen to it to understand why rap is popular and it's been selling millions since the late 80s/early 90s so don't act like it's a new thing

Quality thread

because niggers and wiggers

>it's objectively pretty boring and uncreative
wew

It has more pros than cons, also there is nothing around yet that has all the pros and none of the cons

it is essentially dance music and nothing but.

easy to get in to, easy to master. difficult to gather the funds to pay people off to become the 'best'.,

bunch of stiff losers can't understand why something FUN AND POINTLESS AND SILLY could possibly be popular

Because it's easy for niggers and roasties to chimp out to. Eventually people will get bored of it and move on to a different genre, hopefully rock.

Because you can do it basically for free

Guitars, drums, software, ect. all cost a lot of money if you want to make something professional quality.

Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.
As Masta Killa says on Triumph
"Light is provided through sparks of energy that travel in rhyme form
Giving sight to the blind, the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum"

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.

>hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who are too stupid to get into actual poetry
ftfy

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.
>mfw

>He has only listened to vapid surface level shit

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry

tragic post

is this a really good completely ironic post

Like Masta Killa?

it's popular because it's shitty
you morons think good music should be what is popular. stuck in the past

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.

It used to be rock but rock is now 90% beta white soyboys being sad about feelings or trying to be edgy and coming off as autistic school shooters.

The populace is attracted to what seems edgy, and right now to white middle America black men acting agressive and bragging about their lives is what’s edgy. And why blame them? From Trev to BLM to Obama people cannot get enough of getting triggered by them dirty niggers, and that clash of what is considered “old” society vs “new” society, plus the inherent cross-race appeal of underclass underdog stories (a trait that rock, through abandoning its white working class aspects gained in the 90’s, had thoroughly lost) makes rap way more culturally fresh and new. As a sidenote, it also makes for good dance music, but that’s more a side effect of the cultural shifts caused by the merger of “black” pop culture and “white” pop culture.

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.

The majority of Hip Hop (especially these days) is entirely absent of any poetic input.

"[Rock and the intellectual Left] must both be interpreted as parts of the cultural fabric of late capitalism. Their success comes from the bourgeois’ need to feel that he is not bourgeois."
Allan Bloom, The Closing of the American Mind (New York: 1988), p. 78.

Just replace rock with rap

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.

>"Light is provided through sparks of energy that travel in rhyme form

>people cannot get enough of getting triggered by them dirty niggers

Triggered, huh?

littrrly all of modern rap is about how sad they are and want to kill themselves and take xnax

And that's a damn shame.
>He doesn't enjoy good lyricism
Still better than 98% of lyrics.
I am almost certain that his verse was written by someone else

rap music hasnt been hard and tough since like the mid 2000's.

Its all gay niggers wearing tight pants and dresses now.

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry.

I like hip-hop and rap, and I get what you're trying to say, but sheeeeeit dude. Most, if not all, rap had its lyrical roots deep within a sub-world that constantly bashes academy and culture.

Of course, maybe some of the best releases have some noteworthy poetic material –MF DOOM here and there could be considered poetry. Yet that's not exclusive to rap is it?

Most rap is focused on flow and rhythm. Just because it rhymes doesn't mean is actual good poetry.

Now I know this is subjective but what I'm trying to say is that Rap is neither a good genre for poetry aficionados nor a place to look for renown, praised poetry.

Good literally-aesque lyrics can be found everywhere. So I'm going to go ahead and disagree with ya and explain my point, instead of posting a reaction image and pretending I know what I'm talking about.

t. hiveminded retard

This, muh closet shit
>muh homoerotic """poetry"""

Rap/hiphop is all soyboys

>Hip-hop is an excellent genre for those who enjoy poetry

This is one of the worst lyrics ever conceived. Heathens acting as if their lyrics throw the universe into the prism of light, glimmering death inside a vacuum. Rap should be abolished just like slavery.

You're right about that. What I meant is that, when properly executed, rap is a (very) good form of lyricism.
>He intentionally misconstrues metaphors

Musically it's the least worst genre out now

Because rock sucks now. People only like listening to the old shit, and it gets tiring talking to people in your age group about bands they've never heard of, especially when there is no reason they should have heard of them in the first place. Rappers have also shed their gangster persona and are mostly loveable goofballs now, so there is no real fear of being a dopey white boy interested in gansta beats and phat black booty anymore. It's all fun and games.
