YOU CAN'T IDIOT
this is the best pokemon game ever released right?
only sort of related but i just found this youtube channel where this mega nerd analyzes the music theory of video game music and its got some really quality stuff.

littleroot town is the best song in the series
Yes, objectively and subjectively
I got bored in 5 seconds

The secret base music in this game is the single greatest work of art I've ever witnessed in my lifetime

Well lets see
>first gym town is the 5th gym
>go north to the 1st gym
>go back south to the 5th gym and get on a boat to the 2nd gym
>get on another boat and go north to the 3rd gym, ok fine whatever
>4th gym is on a little cliff that leads nowhere
>go back to the 3rd gym and go west to the 1st gym, then south down to the 5th gym
>then go back to the 3rd gym and go northeast to the 6th gym
>last 2 gyms are islands that lead nowhere
Compare that to Kanto or even Johto and it just feels like they had no idea what they were doing. They didn't use the map to show off future routes or any type of foreshadowing, the boat is fuckin dumb but whatever, a lot of the shortcuts aren't even that useful and just serve as a crutch for your lack of HMs, and there were a LOT of towns that had absolutely nothing going on for them.

>being so young that you couldnt buy it yourself
dont act like anyone bought emerald for themselves unless they bought both
in which case theyre fucking retarded
haha okay fair enough. but i wasn't too concerned with the logic of which directions i was traveling when i was 10. i just cared about how cool all the different cities were. something that gen 3 undoubtedly had going for it
>a city that's completely covered in ash
>a city of treehouses
>a city inside a volcanic dome
>a city literally floating on rafts
I bought ruby then sapphire then emerald with my lawn mowing money
silver
you were a dumb child, honestly
why didnt you just have one friend with ruby and one """friend""" with emerald??
well at least you didn't say gold
this has drought. ruby wins
Oh yeah the art was a huge step up from Gen2, and there were a lot of general quality of life improvements that blew my mind and made the older games seem really dated. The map was my biggest problem by far. It also doesn't really pick up until after the 2nd gym, everything before that is a serious slog.
>shitty beeps and boops with overtones of Jazz
Fucking ADD riddled kids need to off themselves already so they can stop embarrassing the human race with their shit taste
gold is for plebs
my friends were retarded and bought ruby after i bought it so i had to buy sapphire to complete the pokedex and then emerald came out and they were too busy playing colosseum
Chrono Cross
Contains at least 4 tracks that literally redefined hip hop production
...
bl your friends are handicapped
You can not like it all you want but trying to claim that the Pokemon series are not literally video games makes you sound retarded

Was my 2nd Choice
>released in 2002
everyone that played ruby on gba is 18 now.
If I'm being honest
I haven't played Minecraft since I was a teen back in 2012 but I still pull up the soundtrack to go to sleep to every once in a while. It's comfy af.
All of his soundtracks (gaming & film) are highly recommended
...
Platinum, HGSS, and BW2 are objectively the holy trinity of "best pokemon game"
Really liked XY tho, even if it was bit easy. But the meta on Smogon was fine
Honestly I've liked all the gen 6-7 games, even though I recognize points where GF are being lazy fuckwads.
Me too user desu
Currently doing Ultra Sun, began it yesterday

this is pretty good, thanks user
this
i just found out the other day that he did It Follows and i was amazed
hell yah dude
youtube.com
...
some of his best work is his non-soundtrack stuff though, I find the soundtrack works are often too samey for me
In all seriousness, RSE had nice compositions but the soundfont was probably the worst in the series, those '''''trumpets''''' are really grating. that said the ORAS versions lacked some of the kick of the originals, so unfortunately those tracks still haven't really been done justice.
BW and its sequels comfortably had the best soundtracks in the series desu
Emerald is the patrician choice

The GBA's soundchip is way too fucking horrible to agree to these.
