Been playing alot of CK2, it really is the only game that respects my culture and heritage.

I was thinking of trying euiv, or hoi4. What are the differences with Eu and hoi?

they're very different desu there isn't much that's the same
eu4 has no objective, you're give a couple hundred years to do what you want with your country
hoi is more scripted, you play a few short years and it's all about the ww2 and its buildup

HOI4 seems pretty nice to me so far, HOI3 was a complete disaster that never really got fixed. Have only played one game so far, but it feels like a pretty well improved version of HOI2.

But how does the game play? What can i do in those games?

Victoria 2 is better. Idk about hoi4 though. In Victoria 2 you spend so much of your time killing commies and liberals. It is fun.

This. No idea why people complain it's the most complicated. I'd rather micromanage industry than micromanage 800+ tiny infantry. Also gotta love colonizing Africa. That being said, HOI4 really improves on that from 3.

The issue is Victoria 2's economic system is extremely unrealistic on top of being unintuitive as hell. Once you learn it the game can be a great time, but getting there can be difficult.

in eu4 You can play as any nation in the world starting at the year 1444 and ending at 1820. anything can happen and the game usually becomes quite A historical. You can colonise and conquer but ultimately it's up to you to do what you want. There's no winning objective

hearts of iron is 1930's to late 1940's. You can play as any nation but the game is more rigid than eu4. There are game winning objectives and there are a lot of scripted events and ai that buildup to the war. a historical things can happen but not as much as eu4
It's a lot more micro intensive as you order your armies around

Because people are lame. I never go fascist though, I hate micromanaging all of factories. I really like to play as germany and create German Africa and a German China. It is pretty awesome when you get your military score well into the thousands. DESU I just figured out that ships help with colonization. It is pretty awesome to make Africa almost entirely white when you get migration going there.

The capitalist AI is so god awful at running factories, though.

Hearts of Iron IV seems like it's more about just fucking around with history than anything else. Flipping your government over to fascist or communist for most countries is as easy as hiring one single political adviser.

It's an absurd never turn that bullshit on, 40k+ soldiers coming out of the nothing the first time I defeated them they took half Europe and it was extremely unpleasant.

Except when they have multiple armies with upwards of half a million troops and they keep on coming.

Its tedious if you want to maximize your industries profit. Placing them on location producing the raw material increase the output and you gotta watch the world supplies. Its only a problem in the early game because you can just let the free market take over once you build a good base.

Is it at all possible for me to pirate the DLCs for the game if I have the game on STEAM? I like the game and did not mind buying it, but these DLC jewry is something I simply cannot abide for.

It's pretty smooth. They still have to work out bugs and mod management, but that's like every new game to hit steam

It isn't that it is hard, its that it works through an incredibly strange economic system that doesn't like up with any kind of reality. It is highly abstracted, but not in a way that makes it intuitive for gameplay.

All goods produced or mined that aren't instantly consumed by local demand are sold off to an ethereal Global Market that every country in the world buys from. Its just an incredibly strange way to handle economics that takes some getting used to.

Building shit in this game takes an eternity, if you're not playing as an already established superpower. You'll need 15 civilian factories that can be used solely for construction, probably more than that, and that's after any trading for resources you might have to do. You'll also have to research all the efficiency and speed bonuses, before it feels like anything is happening in a reasonable timeframe at all. And then of course you'll have to find some room inside the limited building space for all the military factories and dockyards that you'll need if you expect to be fielding anything more complex than just artillery.

Which is the point, I get it. But fuck, I needed destroyers, cruisers, radars, forts, armored transports, and refineries YESTERDAY, and the massive invincible Royal Navy is fucking my shit up RIGHT NOW. You can start in 1936, but even that doesn't feel like enough time to really prepare for this fucking war.

ummmm. DLC Kings 2 is well over $300 USD for all of the content. Fucking flag skins and a random sound track song replaying ever 45 minutes is $20!

It's pretty great. Most games I play a Viking raider and then end up cruising Europe snagging everyone's wife and daughters and adding them to my harem.

All males and ugly females are sacrificed to the gods. I usually end up with 14 children from like 8 different women. The best part is most are from other cultures so my character will hate them with everything in his being and due to perks most my concubines won't.

I once captured a Finnish queen who was pregnant. Once she gave birth I took her as a concubine and left her daughter on house arrest till she was 16. Then I replaced some 35 year old hag with the girl and had both her mother and daughter in my harem along with the princess of Rome.

I just imagine this angry hulking barbarian hate fucking these women and then tossing them out once he gets a new one.

People mostly get caught pirating porn because that's when the producers will sue you. Movie producers get copyright infringement notices all the time, rarely do they act on it. If it's not a very hot item, you'll be fine pirating it. But just use PIA and you'll be fine

With bonuses, my 10 factories can produce 60+ inf. equipment a day. I can arm a new division every 15 days, although i rushed it and started the war with a third of my divisions only half equipped, it was still enough to break through the US border troops

Yeah I did it it's pretty easy just download it and through it into the dlc/mod folder I forget which one

I'm not on my main computer so I just drew this in MSpaint. This is the 'standard' division that I've been using in my Nationalist Spain game and it pretty much works against everything. If you pick the Mass Firepower doctrine it will probably fuck shit up even harder.

That plus some air support with tactical bombers and I had a very easy time killing everything, even when the enemy was apparently superior to me. It's not TOO much trouble to set up production for, either, like it is with fucking tanks and motorized. The AI could just be completely retarded though, this is Paradox we're talking about.
