When it's rewritten to be something worth of an adaptation
...
>jamie foxx as dicknigger
>colin farrel as main character
>jlaw as cockhungrywhore
>rick moranis as the other guy
>daniel day lewis as AM
Man that ending was fucked
I love it though
Why does this give me a raging boner?
How does a super computer even mutate him into a blob? Like how does AM physically manipulate shit that isnt connected to a circuit?
>tfw no canopener gf
Never.
Only an extreme autist would ever adapt it, and it would just end up being torture porn with the director and camera poetically representing AM.
Nonetheless:
Ted = Elijah Wood
Benny = Tom Hardy + prosthetics
Ellen = Gabrielle Union/Lupita Nyongo
Can't think of any actors for Gorrister and Nimdok.
The BigBlackCucked did a really good radio version.
I've heard that the video game is better, and not in an pretentious video games are art manor, but because Harlan Ellison was more satisfied with the writing in it, which has more depth than the original.
i dont know man, for the purposes of the story am is all powerful. for all we know they could be in a vr simulator
well, the original story's pretty short, but i have a hard time believing ellison preferred a video game to it
It's not really hard to believe when he expanded the story for the game and they actually took his advice for many aspects of the game.
They already did. Terminator, kind of
You do know he wrote a story about a soldier time traveling from the future to the past right? It's why he sued James Cameron never mind the absolute hyperjew didn't bother to sue Marvel when they had almost the same story before Terminator came out
That's because he loves capeshit.
>You do know he wrote about a soldier
Yeah I know. I brought up Terminator because not only is AM practically Skynet, but the world presented in the story is like a sort of far future post Judgement Day world where all that's left is Skynet. And because I read this one and not the one that Terminator was actually based on.
Although now the more that I think about it it has a lot in common with the Matrix too, in some ways.
that was because cameron admitted in an interview that he took the idea from a few episode of the outer limits that ellison happened to write. if you've ever read any of his forwards, he hates not getting paid for shit based on being screwed out of it many times before
Why is Ellison so full of hate? You'd think something must have happened in his life to change him to this bitter, spiteful person he is.
who says he's full of hate?
I doubt you can ever really love or be "normal" if you've never indulged the really dark side of humanity
>I have no reddit & I must meme
Fuck off
